As Advert coordinater i've been advertising a bit, not doing my job well though. But anyway, i've been getting complaints that our Ad is very hard to read at the lighter parts especially since the font color itself is light colored. Just thought I'd put my two cents in, seeing as I had a desire to post. Honestly, I've never really been up to date with our advertising...ness so bare with me, but I do think making a new ad would be a splendid idea. More so if other people or other sites have been complaining, not to mention that in this time we're trying to attract new members and the like. Once again, not saying that I'm an advertising expert or anything, but I think its important to change the ad every once in a while. Keeping a good balance between simplicity and enough uniqueness to draw the attention of possible members is key (I would think).
As far as what you've done already I'll say good job! The ad above looks really clean cut and appealing, plus the font for the name of the site really looks...just plain cool! I like the concept and the only point of revision I can think of would be this: make sure not to flood the ad with text. Maybe get a catchy one-liner to draw people to the site but can still get the main point across? Of course I'm not saying the amount of text on the ad is horrible or anything but sometimes too much text can turn people away. Besides that the ad looks good and I'll spend some free time looking for pics and whatnot when I get a chance. wooooo~
PS maybe coordinate something with Thai too?

As for the current advertisement, I can read it just fine; but if people are saying it's hard to read I guess we should probably change it up a bit. >.>
As for the new advertisement, artistically, I like it. But I think the text may be a bit misleading to some people. Maybe it's just me, but the last sentence in the WIP advertisement makes it seem like we're casting the Espada as good guys and Shinigami as the villians. (Which is totally true anyway, but some people refuse to believe that. XP) Or that maybe the bad guys (Hollow/Arrancar/generally evil people) are the only types of characters we'd allow. (I'm sure most people wouldn't jump to that, but you never know.) Also, there should definitely be a link to the site's plot in there if we aren't putting much (or any really) of the plot on the ad. All the people really know is that it's Espada VS Shinigami, and that may seem kind of boring and common to some people. That being said, I should probably re-write the plot to tell a bit more maybe. >.>
I think (If we wanted to make the smallest changes possible) just adding a plot link along the bottom and changing the final sentence to something like "Fight beside or against the Espada in their plot against Soul Society!". That way it would clear it up a bit. Also, perhaps finding a good picture of an Espada VS Shinigami might be good to give it a less peaceful look; since our plot is basically a war after all. XP If I could use my tablet to draw decently, I'd try and draw up an image myself using Cero and Stele as the fighters, but I can't really do something as great as the current image yet. XP
Also, I agree with Hibiki's PS. XP

A new advertisement hm? I really like what you did with the color scheme and the picture does look inviting (lurve me some kisuke!!!  ) The font you chose also looks nice in contrast to the background. The font on the old one is ok for me, but we are trying to get new members, so we'll experiment with a new background for now. Like Jachi said, the main info text can be interpreted in many ways, so it could use a bit more work. I can understand that you'd keep it short & to the point since most RPers (not all) don't like to read a lot... We could definitely coordinate on this together if you'd like~ You already know my Chatango name, so here's my 4shared account where I can upload a few scrap images if need be and my main e-mail account: - LostInTime

@thai sure, we shall work on this together!~ Also there is another idea I had in mind? It was with the theme of the site itself, the skin? It's simple yes but it's a bit dull, maybe a change in skins would attract more attention, especially since now a days people are really looking for nice colors and ect.
I was thinking similar colors to the advert made? Having the backtground be a bit darker. If you guys want I can even work on a banner with you {{Thai}}

I have nothing to say on changing the advert. I leave that entirely up to you and thai.
However, when it came to the skin I understand that it's pretty plain, but I do not think dull. I didn't want it cluttered with things that would make the site itself load slower. I'm the type of person who likes simplicity..."Gotta enjoy the simple things" Personally the sites I've seen which have a lot of detail or even just slightly more than this I have turned away from. People going all out on something isn't bad, but maybe it isn't completely good either.
Wait I do have one thing to say about advert....our last statement in the advert says we have staff positions open which is currently not true. [as of yet]

Um alrighty statement time.
1. I have another idea for the advert and I need you Thai, PM me on chatango! ((AngellicCupcake))
2. Shouldn't the Advert match the theme of the entire page? Like make it simple yes but change the colors around so it's a little bit well brighter. Not girly just a tad brighter. Like the grey could be a bit lighter and the fonts for the other stuff could be a golden yellow or a black with a golden shadow of some sort~
I'm sorry i'm not on too much either, classes are literally killing me, I got sick a few times this month so I just got back home from all the crazyness. I have access to computers where I was but I was just using it to chat with people on chatango. I'll be trying to get on more now! I promise!

Depends on how bright the colors are I do have sensitive eyes so it hurts my eyes. Being too bright.

Well definitely not a lot of neon colored anything (our site is based off a SHONEN manga/anime after all...) I kinda get what she's saying though, like brightening up the layout colors a tad. Nothing too drastic, but bright enough to show that the set plot isn't too dreary.
(I've been sporadically on & off as well since I'm constantly losing my weekends until marching season is over and I really want to finish my senior year with a bang -get it? XD- instead of just passing. I'll try to be hanging around chatango as well. Wednesday nights are my free nights for sure, so I'll be on from 4:30 to 7:30 or 9:30 PM at the latest.)

Finally logged back on after so long. Marching band is officially over for the semester so Destination Imagination (D.I.) is taking over until the free time between competitions next Spring. Free days:
*Weekdays 8-10 PM (except holidays)
*Weekends 9AM - Midnight (except date nights and holidays)
I've been doing my best to update my pages across the web & my RP sites are next.
My dA page is being updated in the next few days, so I'll post some ideas for the main banner for the site. I like the vectored image as a simple, yet refined idea. The accents for the boxes looks fresh too so you can work with those~ You can also choose the possible color palettes if you have any in mind, so I can try to include them in the banner images, alright?
