If anyone is up to it id like to do a flashbacks to show what started the plot we are in, but id like to hear some ideas about how we should do it.

Maybe for flashback posts we could think about things that we've done in previous posts as well as with previous characters, deceased characters and what happened to them if they have gotten revived and such, or if the person who took their spot is doing well up till now?~

I think that we should make sure everyone has a history typed up for their characters. Then we should look over everyone's history and try to sync all of the histories so that each history matches up with one another (or at least doesn't clash with others'). That way it'll be easier to have a flashback arc because everyone will be on the same page. Plus it will look alot nicer if everything matches up.

I agree with Enjiro about that. That would seem more legit, && can you give an example of the Npc characters?

Well none notable as of yet....though I can say they'd probably all get killed by some means or something else happened that they are no longer around. As for what Enjiro said, I also agree with him. Which is why I hadn't said anything against it. xD Now with that in mind stelevein I know for certain wouldn't be captain commander and Kio would of course still be a captain.
Or rather so far Stelevein won't be, depends on exactly how far back we go.

A Flashback Arc? While the idea is cute and all, if one wanted such a thing to work you'd really have to be considering every angle possible in order to create a functionable universe. I don't like to say it, but most of the characters who are active at the moment don't have histories or even ages that mesh up well enough to create a coherent one that can include the majority of them. Among other things to consider is the ability of whomever is writing the situation to maintain all of that information, time, and the activity of the players which is unfortunately drastically low.
To elaborate on some of those points, look at Stelevein's history.
History: N/A
And Katagami Sairou's.
History: ---
And at the moment, even Enjiiro's.
History: Coming soon.
And these are just characters in the SHINIGAMI category. AngellicCupcake for instance would be alienated if the story took place in Soul Society, where the majority of the older characters can even live. But if we look at Arrancar, their ages vary extremely greatly, and the few that actually have written histories would essentially be nothing more than cave people wandering around the desert eating lesser hollow. Not too fun to write about huh?
But wait? We have Vizard right? Can't we write about them? With ages like 368, 196, 420, 150, 1900, 600, and simply "thousands" How do we write a story that can actually display these characters in tandem with the rest? The reason Bleach itself was able to have a "Turn Back the Pendulum" arc was because Kubo himself wrote all of his characters, and placed them at ages that were around the same as one another's.
The same goes for characters that are already established in our universe as backgrounds and all that. Would you really want to write a story about how Komamura randomly got killed by some punk ambush and not remain true to the character? Is there a way anybody can even write the story to respect all of the established characters we have near and dear to our hearts in order to make way for the characters we created ourselves? What about the more inactive characters that have been around for ages such as Kiba Nakamura? How will we incorporate everybody so that if one of the players show back up, we'll be able to have a spot for them?
And as always, if you're going to do a flashback arc, it has to show something important, there has to be SOMETHING HAPPENING rather than just a player rewriting their history for all to see. If that was how it was going to be done, you might as well just write separate solo flashback topics, and include whoever you wanted.
I know you're all gung-ho about the idea and want to make it work, but if you're going to be serious about this and actually do it, figure it out and commit to it. Because as of now with how the site's been going, I can't exactly say I'm too thrilled about the prospect of us abandoning another idea because of inactivity.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A brief aside about the website's current plot arc, which has been indefinitely delayed because of the aforementioned inactivity.
I have to say I am absolutely positively entirely drained of muse when it comes to that. The website fell on hard times once because of key players leaving the website and dooming the original plot, so we pulled a retcon and flipped the script back to the beginning. Then it happened again, and we attempted the original plot once more, only for it to fall out of activity and players to be asking about where it was, and BEGGING FOR ANOTHER RETCON BECAUSE THEY WANTED TO BE PRESENT FOR THE BEGINNING.
So, we took it back a notch, deliberated a tad and some agreements were made in the chatbox that the website needed an entirely different sort of plot, one more interesting and filled with twists and turns, like an actual story you know? So I did that. I spent over a month writing out an entire storyboard, new factions, figured out a way to use the Masked Society (Which EVERYBODY has been asking about.), and even drew up events for us to use, flipped the script back to the beginning and tried my best to keep the activity to a level where that plot could actually kick off.
ONCE AGAIN, inactivity doomed it. This time, before the plot had really even gotten underway at all.
Worse yet, despite being at the very beginning anyways I heard people saying "I want to start over, I don't like it if I'm not there from the beginning."
Can you see where my frustration and utter lack of faith comes from? I'll spell it out.
The people who RP here are HORRIBLE at committing to anything. I won't even disinclude myself from that, I haven't been very active here right now either due to being utterly disheartened by how the threads I'm in have been indefinitely stalled. If you want a flashback arc, nay, ANYTHING AT ALL to work here, we're going to have to actually put in the effort to make these things happen. If we have to rewrite absolutely everything, and in accordance with Stelevein's wishes for characters that start from the beginning, write it so they start from the beginning, it also means we'll need to do absolutely everything over, perhaps even including the character application templates.
And I'm perfectly happy and willing to deliberate with others in order to write another plot and system. But the only thing that I'll ask is for everybody to understand that our characters are going to have to face some deliberate reversals, you may even have to rewrite them entirely depending on how this plays out.
That's all I have to say for now.

Actually...I agree with you now that you mention it. I also know it was partially because of me...well a lot actually....with that in mind I say let's do it.
In fact I have some ideas of working the masked society into the main plot. But we will be rewriting the main plot if it happens.
