After meeting with Central 46 about some new laws, the self-proclaimed new captain for squad 12 immediately disappeared to his old research facility near Mt. Koifushi. The man stood at the edge of the giant hole in the ground, his research facility practically destroyed by the cave-in that lead to him being unfrozen. The Shinigami let out a low sigh as he jumped down into the hole, walking to a rather large machine underneath where he was standing earlier. He then began to check the machine talking to himself quietly before pressing a few buttons and pulling some levers; causing the machine to turn on. "Good; looks like it's operating fine." he said as his reiatsu would seemingly vanish from Soul Society. "No time to rest though; Central 46 probably gathered most of my research from here the moment I left this place. Probably being followed by another captain or the Onmitsukido right now." he said to himself as he walked over to what looked like a giant computer. He then pressed a button in the center of the computer's terminal and turned it on before inserting his zanpakutou into a thin slot below the button.
"Alright, Naengdong Wang, get all the information from this device and activate the emergency deletion program as soon as you finish. I need to activate the self-destruct sequence and then we need to open the tunnel to the back-up lab." he said, before letting the sword go and quickly walking to the other side of the lab. At his words, a digital image of his zanpakutou's spirit appeared on the screen.
"Jin-Ho, it looks like someone's already attempted to delete some critical files. Luckily it's nothing the backup data can't restore; but this means someone's probably not far behind." the digital image of his zanpakutou called out from across the lab.
"Alright. Just get as much as you can." he called out as he walked up to a large cylindrical device, turning it on and pressing a few buttons on a small keypad before hitting a red button as the device lit up green. He then quickly walked the perimeter of the lab, activating similar devices. "Alright, everything's ready. How much longer do you need Neangdong Wang?" he asked as he walked to the side of the large computer-like device.
"I'm all ready as well. Activating the first portion of opening the tunnel." the zanpakutou said as numbers and letters began speeding along the screen. "Activating self-destruct sequence. Ready to go when you are, Jin-Ho." the zanpakutou said before the captain nodded and carefully pulled the blade out of the terminal as the green light on the cylindrical devices turned red.
"Alright. This place is gonna blow in about five minutes, time to get outta here." the shinigami said as he hit a few buttons on the side of the terminal to open a doorway to the tunnel leading to his back-up laboratory. However, after pushing the sequence of buttons, nothing happened. "Crap... They must have changed the code to the terminal... If I try and blow up the computer, it'll probably set off the explosives early, since all I'll be able to use is kido... And if I get out of range, the tunnel will be blocked off permanently. Seems like the only option is to freeze this place all over again..." the scientist thought as plans rushed through his head, as the countdown continued.

"Probably being followed by another captain or the Onmitsukido right now."
Hehe, strangely astute, that guy. Shizuka muttered to herself whilst she continued to stalk a newly uncovered figment of the past. Her reiatsu concealed by a large white cloak she wore over her clothes in order to prevent from being found in that manner, the Vizard inventor stealthily continued on her way following this peculiar man as he walked over to a large terminal and turned it on.
A computer that reacts to your spiritual pressure? Smooth moves... She thought, creeping up a little closer until she was able to see what was on the screen. The man then turned around and begun walking to the other side of the lab, closer to her own position, immediately prompting the inventor to duck down underneath an ancient and damaged console in order to remain hidden.
Soon enough the figure on the screen would begin to speak, giving the captain some information about the contents of the terminal and overall engaging in conversation while Shizuka continued to lurk. Suddenly things on the screen begun to click and figures begun to speed across the screen at an alarming rate. "Self destruct sequence? That's bad." The inventor muttered to herself whilst beginning to make her move, not exactly willing to become a casualty in regards to the machinery process here.
"How about you step aside and let me handle that for you, Captain."
Leaping out of her hiding place and removing the hood of the cloak so that he'd be able to see her face, if he was privy at all to current events, he would recognize this person as Shizuka Rindo, one of Soul Society's primary liaisons into the human world. "So tell me what you need done, and we'll get it over with before this place blows up. I guess I have to run away soon too, before more of these captains figure out I've been lurking around." A small emblem would fall out of the inventors pocket as she speedily raced past the man to engage the terminal in his stead, a bright and colorful logo on it depicting the symbol of the 12th Squad.
"Come on, come on. Gimme whatcha got."

It wasn't much longer after the sequence started that Jin-Ho heard a voice to his side, causing him to turn and see a woman in a white cloak. If he hadn't caught up with the past and current events of Soul Society earlier, he probably would have immediately taken a defensive stance. Luckily, he was able to recognize the woman from a description within the papers he read. "Shizuka Rindo, yes? And that cloak you're wearing. Is it the same model invented by that young boy Urahara? To have been able to take the functions of my Reiatsu Hiding Device and put it into something as small as a cloak is truly amazing. Soul Society has come a long way since I started as a captain. I read that that child even modified my gigai inventions." he began, losing track of what was going on the moment he saw the cloak. However, the beeping of the explosives quickly brought him back to reality.
"Right. I would be able to reset the pass-code for the terminal using Naengdong Wang, but it would mean allowing him to get blown up with the lab; and that can not happen. If you are able to, I need you to hack into the system and open the tunnel doorway. It's a fairly advanced system, however so I doubt you can bypass it within the next three minutes..." he said in a slightly proud voice; however his "fairly advanced system" was thousands of years old, and most anyone with knowledge of technology would likely be able to bypass the system fairly easily.

"Haha, you sound like the old fogey I figured you'd be. You gotta be older than Ginrei Kuchiki or most of the fellas in Squad Zero eh?" She chirped, clapping her hands excitedly after Jin-Ho had confirmed knowledge of Urahara to her. "Well, not to harsh your buzz or anything but setting this place to explode is a shame. Just like a certain initiative you fellas signed recently." The last part muttered beneath her breath, the inventor drew her cloak closer around her profile to further the effects of the reiatsu block in order to hide the dual-nature of her spiritual pressure. Assassins had already made attempts to arrest her already; and snooping around in their home base isn't exactly the best way to get back on their good side.
Jin-Ho would move onward after that to explain that he needed the passcode to the terminal reset in order to open up the doorway to the tunnel. Going further to explain that the system was advanced, which illicit a massive laughing fit from Shizuka. "Oh man, that's rich. Wooowee, this thing's older than floppy disks or cassette tapes." She said with a hint of snideness in her overly playful tone as she turned back to look upon the monitor and engaged a virtual console above it. "Lemme just put my link in here, annnnnnnd." A few furious keystrokes that took place in seconds would see the screen filled with hundreds upon thousands of characters, which would soon fade to binary as Shizuka would turn around and place her hands together.
"Done!" Snapping her fingers together as the sound of a door opening up somewhere nearby was heard, the inventor remained rooted to her spot, not willing to move until Jin-Ho had decided to. Her bright and luminescent eyes would meet the senior scientists' own, a light within them which displayed more intelligence than her jovial demeanor would give off. The white cloak that framed the profile of her body performing its job properly of hiding any ounce of strength that she could portray, which was just the way she liked it. No fun in showing your hand at all before problems could begin afterall.
"So are we gonna get the move on, or what? I'm not really scared of an explosion, but dying of boredom isn't very fun either."

"Before the original cave-in, only Yamamoto-dono knew of this place and what I was doing. I don't want Central 46 or anyone else prying into my research. Of course, I have no choice but to drag you along now that you've helped me." The captain said with a small smile as he watched the woman quickly bypass the computer's security in a matter of seconds; causing him to stay quiet for a few moments.
"Tch. I guess I forgot how rapidly technology advances." he said to himself with a sigh before he walked closer to Shizuka. "I never had plans for bringing another person through this passageway, so you'll have to excuse me if this seems rude." he said with a small smile before picking the woman up and dashing toward a wall which opened up as they drew near. On the other side was a long tunnel lit up by what looked like balls of light along its ceiling. As the door closed behind them, the scientist drew his zanpakutou and slashed the ceiling, causing a spark to ignite a series of fuses headed toward the balls of light. "This might get a bit rough." he said as he began running down the tunnel, coming to a fork and taking a turn as the balls of light began exploding and caving in the tunnel; drowning out the sound of the now exploding lab. As they continued down the maze-like tunnel, chased by explosions, Shizuka would be able to notice a pit of poisonous liquid far too long to simply jump across. As they closed in, Jin-Ho would hold his zanpakutou out in front of him, before releasing it. "Solidify, Naengdong Wang!" he called out as his weapon took on a bluish hue and the trap before them began to freeze as they safely slid across it. It didn't take much longer for them to reach the end of the tunnel, bursting through the door to what looked like an exact replica, albeit less destroyed, of the lab they had just left. As the door closed behind them, Jin-Ho encased it in ice to dampen the explosion before setting the Vizard gently on the ground; caving in the only way connecting the two labs.
After putting his zanpakutou back into his sheathe, he noticed all but one of the test subjects being kept in this lab were gone. "My, my... I suppose they get pretty hungry after thousands of years..." he said nodding toward a single human-sized Hollow surrounded by a fairly large cage of energy much like a Negacion Field. "I guess they ended up escaping when I froze myself, but the safety protocol kicked in and trapped them in that field. This guy must've ate the other guys and made it all the way to Vasto Lorde." he said to himself with a smirk. Ignoring the angry Hollow within the barrier for the moment, the scientist immediately went to the computer within the back-up lab and turned it on, inserting his zanpakutou into the small slot. "You can dump all the data in here. We'll get to continuing research after I have a chat with Ms. Rindo." he said with a small smile before turning to the Vizard.
"You being at my lab at such a convenient time. Surely it was just a coincidence, right?" he asked with a small smile, knowing that wasn't the answer. "Even with having been uncovered, this place is far from the Seireitei and you aren't one to have gotten orders from Central 46 to investigate this place. So why did you follow me here?" he asked, keeping his smile as he studied the being in front of him.

"Rude? Rude is good, rude is fun, rude gives me more chances to show off!" She was rather absentmindedly just saying things to say them without noticing that the man in front of her had begun to draw nearer. Soon enough he had his hand around her waist and before she could even begin to object, she was in his arms being carried like a princess. "Woah woah woah, you can't do this sort of thing until AFTER the first date, buddy! You haven't even given me flowers or sang cruddy poetry to me yet!" Of course she was just kidding, but keeping up the act, the inventor would continue to vocally hold objections through the entire process of them running through the traps. If things started to go badly, she could pretty much bust her way out at any time, so there was very little concern in the light-hearted shopkeep's demeanor.
"Look, if you take me out to dinner or something I'll let this all go. And it better be fancy too, more than your captain's salary could normally afford, I'm an expensive young woman, okay?" She conveniently left out the part about how she actually predated the majority of Soul Society's current occupants, but nobody really had to know about that. When she was finally released, in the center of a frozen lab at that, She would look around to notice the signs of a struggle all around their current room. "Woohoo, this thing's pretty scary. Something that looks like something Captain Mayuri woulda built, bless his demented soul. Actually, curse his soul! Curse it forever!" She slapped her knee uproariously, ignoring the immensely ticked off looking hollow that was still in the barrier at the moment as the captain she was with seemed to be speaking to his Zanpakuto. Finally he would begin to address her while she was scanning the place. Whipping around rather briskly by twirling about on her toes, she'd turn to face the man with her hands on her hips and a mischievous grin etched onto her features. "You say coincidence, I say expert planning." It was a coincidence. A coincidence that held ulterior motives of course, but Shizuka herself hadn't expected to come across a living being whilst skirting about on her investigation. "Nope nope, I don't take very kindly to the Central 46 nowadays." She said in an airy tone, turning around so that her back was facing the man before placing her hand to her chin and thinking of what to say next.
"No risk, no fun, but!"
She twirled back around in a dancelike manner, her hands brushing aside her cloak and then immediately getting to work unzipping the jacket she was wearing. Beneath the jacket she wore a stylish black corset that would make one wonder why she covered it up with her jacket. But, that not exactly being her point, she placed her finger over her right shoulder, pointing out the rather nasty looking scar that marred otherwise flawless skin.
"I totally figured that if a captain was sneaking around, I could get something dirty out of this. In short, I'm spying. And in a double-feature, since I know the next question would be something like 'why?' or 'what for?' or 'what do you think you're looking for?' I'm trying to get Central off my back already." Her hand moved away from her shoulder and begun to rub the back of her head as the talkative inventor threw caution to the wind and blew her entire operation out of the skies, now that she was (barring the angry hollow) alone with a single captain and not in the midst of many.
"Vizard, one of the ones that your buddies wanted assassinated. I like to live, and so do they. I also like to not be accused of working together with hollows or quincies. On a further note, I'm probably going to march in there and beat them all within an inch of their lives if I have to fight more of those captain class expedition squad chiefs. Already wrecked my store and killed my maid's current body, you understand that it's annoying right?"

As the Vizard revealed her intentions, a smile came across the scientist's face. "A Vizard is just what I was hoping to get my hands on. Central 46 gave us orders to kill on sight; but I follow my own rules. If you're with that Masked Society, then I'll most definitely have to kill and then conduct my research. But if you aren't with them, then I suppose we can skip the killing part. It's much too messy for me anyway." he said, still smiling as he began walking to a storage closet, looking to the screen his zanpakutou spirit had appeared on before pulling the sword out of the terminal on the way there.
"With the way you handled the computer in the main lab, I'm assuming you're a scientist as well? Then I suppose you can understand both my excitement of finding a new research subject and my fear of the enemy possibly having someone so talented on their side." he began as he took out two wakizashi-sized blades and put them around his waist before turning to the woman with his zanpakutou drawn. "So Ms. Rindo, would you like to tell me whose side you're on before I have to assume you're an enemy?" he asked with a smile, hoping the Vizard wouldn't try anything.
