Care to Try? ~Athena~

Fate had just finished a massive load or work that was due to be done by the end of the week as well as the normal report to be send to the head captain, Fate streatched in her seat finally it was all done and she didn't need to do it for a while. In fact she could now do something she had been eager to for a while, training with her new lieutenant even if Fate had offered she still had to test out what power her lieutenant had that was a given with any new lieutenant right?

Fate quickly rose from her seat and headed out of her office, wondering or not if to use that....it would be best. If she wanted to see her new lieutenant's power she planned to go all out and not hold anything back. Humming to herself lightly Fate sent off a hell butterfly to inform Athena about Fate requesting her presance in the Squad 5 outdoor training grounds. Fate had made sure that no other members would be around the area when this fight would take place, she didn't want anyone fainting from overly-high reaitsu.

Many memebers nodded and bowed towards Fate as she left the barracks out into the fresh air, Fate took in a deep breath then exhaling as she flash stepped into the training grounds of squad 5 with no one around she nodded. Good no one else was here as per her orders to the Squad for today. As she arrived within the center of the training grounds she looked to her zanpakuto attached within her glove as Bardiche emmited a small flash of light; Fate then shook her head and spoke towards her zanpakuto Bardiche. "Not yet Bardiche, wait." There was another small flash replying to that statement, as Fate walked over to one of the walls leaning against it she waiting for Athena to get her message and arrive here.

[Athena]

Looking up from her todo list at the sound of the hell butterfly, Athena tilted her head. Listening to the message she became slightly confused, but then a look of understanding replaced the confused look. Giving out the rest of the orders she needed to give for things to be finished, she put her little book away and started walking towards the training grounds.

Glancing up, the new squad five lieutenant glanced up to check the position of the sun. She had to make sure she could go all out, as best as she could.

Today would be the best day to kill her, and to become captain my dear sister.....

Shaking her head, ignoring the voice and then the laughter that soon followed it she, she forced her body to remain relaxed as possible.


Oh goody! We get to have fun today![/color]There is a difference between serious training and fun, Akuma...every thing is fun for you....

Athena kept on walking, ignoring the two bickering companion of hers. Arriving at the outdoor grounds finally she looked around. Seeing her captain she walked over and bowed. "Captain Fate....

"Captain Fate...." Hearing Athena's voice Fate turned her head slightly to see Athena bowing in front of her, smiling lightly Fate got up from leaning against the wall. And starting walking out into the center of the training area speaking as she walked. "I assume Athena you know why you are here?" Fate already knew Athena would know after all she had told the girl before about how she planned to spar with her but Fate thought it best to ask first, right?

Once within the center of the training grounds Fate motioned for Athena to follow standing opposite her; Fate then held out her hand as if reaching out towards Athena she then spoke. "Bardiche!" Fate's tone of voice was kind but strong as she spoke her zanpakuto's shikai form - a staff- appering within her hand once Fate had hold of her zanpakuto she let her hand fall to the side loosely she then spoke once again. "I hope you know Athena to not hold back in this fight, beacuse neither will I. That includes using bankai so get ready." After speaking a small ringing sound could be heard coming from Bardiche as he spoke. "Scythe Form, get set." Fate's staff quickly changed into that of a scythe and with a final nod towards Athena she rushed forward preparing to attack and test Athena's skills.

[Athena]

Athena nodded. "Of course Captain." she said. Looking at her two swords she looked at fate. She needed to be on her top. Usually she used two swords...but Akuma got in the way when she needed her best, and lately she spent most of her free time training with Tenshi... Before following fate she left the red looking katana leaning against the wall. Following Fate she stopped near the middle and drew Tenshi. 

She had to admit, Bardiche was an interesting  zanpakuto never having to be sheathed or unsheathed and ready at all times. As she watches the captain closely, Athena slowly began to relax. Twirling Tenshi in her right hand at her side. Millions of plans went though her head, she had so many from observing her former captain and she slowly gained the ability to develop plans for her work. Now she was developing plans  for this. What would be the best way to come on top, or close to top, or to simply impress the captain? Yes, she would have to go bakia, she knew. She quickly checked to see  if the sun was still up and then it all went down. As Fate went shakai and then into a scythe and started running at her to attack, Athena jumped back to put more distance  between her and the captain and raise her other hand and ponted at her. "Sho!"  Energy was created with the simple word and would thrust Fate back. Making sure she had enough time she gripped Tenshi with both hands. "Vanquish the darkness and spread your light Tenshi!"  Nothing much changed the apperance of her zanpakuto other than a bluish  glow surrounded the blade.

What next...what next.... The words kept going though Athena's mind, she wasn't thinking ahead, but often this was what battle did. She couldn't do much, and she knew in order to be her best, she had to go bakia now....This was, after all, a captain. Retaking her relax posture all of a sudden she raise Tenshi a little, and taking a deep, quick breath, she called out "Vanquish the darkness, spread your light, and bring your foes to the gate of Judgment, Shinpan no Tenshi!" In a flash of light, angelic wings made of light  appeared being Athena and her outfit completly changed to a dark, almost completly black, blue valkyrie armor completed with a sheild on her left arm. Her sword became longer and changed shape. It curved uo and the griping looked like it belong to a cross.

Now Athena could do some damage. She once again resumed her relaxed posture keeping an eye in the captain, never moving to attack.

Fate watched Athena carefully as she moved around, most likely trying to either plan what to do..or predict Fate's movements...the second of which would be near inpossible for anyone to do let alone Athena but still. As Fate charged forward she noticed Athena doing something then hearing her speak. "Sho!" With that one word Fate was pushed back slightly, Fate noted that Athena kept trying to keep a lot of distance between herself and Fate. Looking up she saw Athena change into shikai with very little differance to her blade other than it glowing slightly. Normally Fate would have her opponent almost dead by now, even if she wasn't going to hold back it didn't mean she was going to be serious beacuse Fate also knew how powerful and dangerous she could be if at full power and she didn't really want to put anybody in a coma now would she? Insted of rushing forward like Fate would normally Fate just stood there and watched what Athena was going to do, attack, wait, use bankai? Many options filled Fate's mind but she was brought back to battle at hand when she felt a surge in Athena's reaitsu then hearing her speak agina. "Vanquish the darkness, spread your light, and bring your foes to the gate of Judgment, Shinpan no Tenshi!"

Fate watched as dust gathered around Athena with a flash of light, Fate then seeing Athena in bankai smiling Fate nodded towards her. When Fate said not to hold anything back boy was she doing that, and so would Fate but first to test Athena. "Bardiche!" She then looked towards Athena her hair covering part of her face. "I hope your prepared Athena." If Athena wanted all out oh was she going to get it, as a faint ringing sound could be heard Bardiche spoke. "Yes sir, Photon Lancer full auto fire, get set." Fate nodded towards her zanpakuto Bardiche with that now ready she could start.

Seeing Athena stand there relaxed, even if she wasn't moving Fate could tell she was alert of what was going on around her. Let's see how alert Fate thought. Fate nodded inwardly then without warning Fate flash stepped to the right of Athena appering like lightning as Fate brought Bardiche towards her arm aiming to get as much damage done as possible, once attacking it didn't matter if Athen dogded it or not Fate then quickly jumping backwords, mid-jump she spun within the air as 15 spheres of lightning appered around her. "Photon Lancer" As Fate landed on the ground she spoke mere seconds after speaking before. "Fire!" The 15 spheres shot towards Athena like bullets as quick as anything, hoping to reach their target as Fate stayed back and watched by her reflexes on high alert ready for anything Athena might throw at her.

[Athena]

It is time, Athena..... the angelic voice spoke. Be alert, be ready, be calm. We can do this.  Athena nodded, her face set and serious. She looked almost like a hawk, a true valkyrie, watching Fate like she was pray waiting, calculating; she was simply watching and waiting. Any move, abilities, that seemed like would cause meager damage, Athena already knew how to counter that or those. She had a plan that was forming. If Fate did this, Athena would do that, and so on and so forth.  She could do this.....

It wasn't long before things went down again. Athena knew something was up if Fate called out her zanpakuto's name. Fate soon told her she hoped Athena was prepared. Oh, was Athena prepared. Gripping the sheild in her left arm and the giant sword in her right she was ready. It wasn't long before Fate moved with a flash step then reappeared next to Athena  sticking out at her. Athena moved quickly, and to those who payed attention closely it looked like she 'glitched' into that blocking position. Godspeed, a flash step ability that hardly used any energy and was slightly faster, always came natural to Athena when she was in situations where she had to use her bankai. Blocking the struck with her sheild, Fate jumped back and spin with fifteen lightning shpears surrounding her. Athena knew what was next,  or at least had a guess. 

Vail of light!" she cried out, stabbing Tenshi not the ground. With that, light flashed from the blade and a dome surrounded Athena in a blinding light.  The moment the Photon Lancer attack hit the dome, there was a loud craking sound and the dome broke in a brighter flash of light; dust was also sent up at the impact.  Once the light cleared away along with the dust, Athena was gone.  Limit of the thousands hands, respectful hands, unable to touch the darkness. Shooting hands unable to reflect the blue sky. The road that basks in light, the wind that ignited the embers, time that gathers when both are together, there is no need to be hesitant, obey my orders. Light bullets, eight bodies, nine items, book of heaven, diseased treasure, great wheel, grey fortress tower. Aim far away, scatter brightly and cleanly when fired! the voice came from above Fate and fairly close to her as well.  With the finishing of the incantation for Senjū Kōten Taihō, ten pink points where fired from her blade in which was pointing at Fate. If they hit their target, they would explode, if they didn't and hit the ground instead, they will still explode. As soon as they were fire Athena disappeared from her spot once again.

She appeared once again higher above fate and further infront of her (or behind her if Fate turned around at the attack before now ). Raising Tenshi above her, the blade began to flash blue. Once, then a pause, then again and a repeat. Each flash was getting brighter and each pause shorter till the blade was a bright blue light. "Tenshi! Strick down you gravel and pass your Judgement!" it was words that just came to Athena. The blade's light grew brighter and in a flash, two horse sized, flying blue griffins appeared next Athena. Bringing her sword down to once again point at Fate, the two creatures swiftly swooped down to attack with their claws and beak.

Athena once again moved from her spot in a flash. Using the two beasts as a distraction she would come up from Fate to slash at her.

Fate watched quite amused that Athena had predicted or at least guessed what she was going to do in such a short time she had known her....very good Fate thought. As the dust cleared Fate looked above to see Athena, seeing her finish an incatation Fate saw this as ten pink points were fired Fate grinned at this she wasn't named the lightning goddes for nothing! As the first set of those attacks exploded it looked like Fate got sent backwords by the blast, when it fact Fate was much further back away from the blasts fully. Spinning around she saw Athena again smiling she watched as Athena used one of her bankai skills. As the two griffins came down towards Fate she smiled holding out her palm two small spheres appered floating Fate fired them moving around the griffins and distracting them as they spheres floated away so did the griffins following after them. Fate turning around blocked Athena's attack, she already knew the griffins were a distraction for her to attack but no dice for Athena.

"I will say you have a talent for speed, however that won't get very far with me. I must also complement you seeing as I haven't use this on any opponent in a while." Fate struck back on Athena's attack with her scythe after pushing Athena back Fate spoke again. "Limiter.....Release!" As Fate spoke Bardiche could be heard shortly after. "Yes sir, Limiter Release Level one, get set." With a faint ringing sound from Bardiche, Fate's reaitsu spiked dramaticly making the ground around them shake slightly from the force of the pressure. "I shall tell you all about this after the fight but for now....Bardiche." Fate began to run forward as Bardiche spoke again. "Yes Sir." The scythe in Fate's right hand disappered fully now looking like she had no weapon, then jumping she flash stepped to the left of Athena. "Knuckle Form, set up!" Then a pair of hardened gloves appeared on fate's hands as Bardiche spoke again. "Lightning Barrage." All of this as Fate appeared behind Athena from before all happened in a matter of spilt seconds to Athena but quite a while for Fate as she then unleashed a flurry of deadly punches at Athena seemily attacking from all directions at the young lieutenant.

OOC: About the Limiter release I was meaning to add it when I created Fate but quickly forgot as I made her. If this it not allowed then I will edit this post (somehow dunno how but yea) but what I ment to add to her profile was that Fate had limiters placed on her reaitsu for safety for lower ranking shinigami and others around her, there are three levels to the limiter and if allowed I will add them if a mod would be so kind as to open Fate's profile thanks!

A limiter release for your shinigami, especially considering multiple levels is strictly not allowed, as the potential for abuse is too high. Everybody is capable of just holding back if they're fighting weaker opponents, so just do that instead.

[Athena]

Athena snickered as the griffins were lead away. "That won't be so easy..." she twisted her blade and the griffins disappeared then reappeared where Athena stood releasing them they flashed, but that was it. As Athena's  attack was blocked, and as she was pushed back. She listened to what fate had to say and watched once again like a hawk. As Athena gave her small points for being fast, Athena whispered something quietly. The blad flashed slightly and lowly and remained aglow.  At the same time she moved, yet she remained where she stood, as if she hadn't moved. In reality, Athena secretly triggered her one time move, a signature move as well.  She watched and listen quietly high above with three other clones of herself. 

And then, Fate attacked. The clone tried its best to block the attacks but was taken from aside. She went flying, slaming into the wall. As she, or it, struggled to stand, looking bloody and beaten the clone flashed and then looked perfectly normal.  Four low chuckle sounded. "I have to give you points, your the first so far to make me use my signature move, even in secret, Captain Fate. A move which I regret to reveal, I can only use once a day ." All five Athena's  spoke at once. The four above her and the fith below. The griffins flew above them all, circling, eating for a command, and still there, if not a bit faint.  All five disappeared and reappeared around Fate. "Despite this being a training session, I wanna try something, can you figure out which one is the real me?

Fate smiled and watched as the griffins disappeared from her vision, glancing down Fate noticed Athena's blade start to glow, raising an eyebrow as to wonder what she was planning to do. Fate watched as Athena seemed to appear unharmed from her attack as she jumped back from her attack. "I have to give you points, your the first so far to make me use my signature move, even in secret, Captain Fate. A move which I regret to reveal, I can only use once a day ." Fate raised an eyebrow but sighed and spoke back towards Athena. "How many times have I told you, you don't need to be so formal even if I'm your Captain." Fate then waited and listened as she was surrounded by five Athena's. "Despite this being a training session, I wanna try something, can you figure out which one is the real me?" Fate just grinned and shook her head. "I don't need to figure it out when I can do this." Fate remained where she was as 5 sphere's of lightning appeared around her. "Photon Lancer." Spoke Bardiche in his normal tone as Fate pointed forward. "Fire!" As Fate spoke the 5 spheres chagred forward each sphere going for a different Athena as Fate spoke. "See?" She smiled.

[Athena]

The Athenas chuckled and disappeared as the sphears were launched at them. Each appeared higher up once again.  However, one was holding her arm, seemingly having been hit  by a sphear being a second to late, another appeared to be bleeding from the right leg, and a third from its arm as well. The wounds stayed, ans the other two were unharmed. "I'm not going to make this easy for you.....Fate...." it was unusual for Athena to be not so formal with those from higher up the rank. The griffins once again lunged at Fate, those time they wouldn't be so easily distracted. The three wounded Athena's moved, flash stepping, so the we're behind Fate, ready to attack, lungs with the griffins. The three Athena's attacks would do no harm however, and proved as a distraction.

Fate watched as all the Athena's disappeared looking above she saw three of them wounded by her attack and raised an eyebrow at this as she listened to Athena. "I'm not going to make this easy for you.....Fate...." Fate just grinned and nodded. "I would expect no less from you Athena nor am I going to make this easy for you." Fate saw the griffins coming towards her and the three wounded Athena's appear before her, smiling she shook her head once. "It's time...." Fate muttered this and a ringing sound could be heard. "Yes sir!" Fate then proceeded to jump high into the sky then shouting. "Bankai!" A bright white a yellow light then engulfed the area as Fate spoke that one word.
