Ayumu's eyes opened slowly and focused on the ceiling above, unmoving and dead-like. "UUUUUUgggggggghhhhhh," the Vizard groaned as he turned to one side and lost his balance, falling face first onto the floor with little more than a grumble. He picked himself up and turned over on the ground, now facing the ceiling again. "That's weird..." Ayumu just felt those words were necessary in describing his current state of mind. Few times before had he been so bored that he fell asleep on the couch, but it seemed today was one of those times. Little had been going on in the Vizard compound of late, or at least, little that Ayumu was aware of. Still on the ground and on his back, Ayumu turned his head to both sides, scanning the room from his low perspective. He was just in a small side room the Vizards used as one of their lounges, and besides the cold concrete floor, walls, old couch and small collection of chairs, there wasn't anything else in the room. "No one here? Man, this place is slow today."
With a grunt the Vizard pulled himself up to his feet and sighed tiredly. He stretched his arms out behind his back and with a slight skip in his step walked towards the door, soon finding himself walking through a few of the warehouse's short hallways before entering the main room. Still, no one was around. And it was already the afternoon. "The hell?! Where is everyone?!" Ayumu growled, scratching the back of his head tiredly. "I feel like I'm forgetting something...something important." The Vizard tried to recall just what that certain 'something' was, but couldn't put his finger on it. Something had woken him up abruptly from his nap, but was it a nightmare? Probably not, Ayumu concluded with an absent wave of his hand, walking towards a refrigerator near the back of the warehouse. As he approached the old metal and plastic husk of rustic white coloration and examined the inside of it, his expression turned disappointed once again. "Nothing to eat, nothing to drink, nothing to do! AAAAAGGGHHHH!" Ayumu slammed the refrigerator door closed and walked back towards the center of the largest warehouse room, his footsteps echoing loudly throughout the place.
He passed some low-set windows that were beaming the sun directly into the warehouse, and a shadow was cast through the glare of the light. Ayumu was too busy mumbling to himself about the lack of things to do before he stopped in his tracks, stunned. The Vizard took a half dozen steps backwards and halted just at the window, looking through the glass just in time to notice three distinct black shadows in the distance. His expression now one of shock, Ayumu's eyes widened and his heart skipped a beat. Three menos were stomping around just a few hundred yards away, smashing through some nearby warehouses and generally just causing havoc. "What the heck? Menos? Here?" Ayumu then assumed the reason he had woken up was because he felt a sudden surge in reiatsu. And just when he came to that conclusion an actually powerful surge of spiritual pressure rocked the entire area.
"Go forth, my pawns! And find those pitiful excuses for Arrancar! Find them and wipe them from the earth!" An amused white-clothed humanoid ranted on to the menos from high in the air. It was a fairly slender male arrancar with a fragment of his mask covering the left side of his face, looking to be that of a bird's. Just like most all arrancar he held a weapon looking to be a zanpakutou at his side, though it was sheathed and it was clear by his demeanor he thought himself too proud to draw it at the time. "Hmph. We'll find these wretches and end their little operation here in Karakura Town. That should appease our lord." The lead arrancar said aloud, as two more arrancar appeared at his side, both kneeling respectfully. One of the arrancar was a male of a more muscular build than the apparent leader, and his mask was fitted across his chin. He had pitch black hair fitted back into a ponytail and cornrows. The other, a female, had short auburn hair that reached her shoulders and she was a bit shorter and less physically intimidating than the other two - but not by much. She looked up to the lead arrancar with a smirk, and with a nod she and the more muscular arrancar had disappeared.
At the edge of a line of forest that was bordered by the warehouses of the industrial district, the muscular arrancar appeared. Alongside the closest residential district that bordered the warehouses the female arrancar appeared, blade in hand. All at once, the two subordinate arrancar began unleashing a flurry of bala and cero at the surrounding areas, rocking the ground with explosions and sending debris everywhere. Meanwhile, the lead arrancar stood high in the air above the rampaging menos, hands behind his back with a clever smile across his lips.
Ayumu used shunpo as fast as he could manage to try and distance himself from the Vizard's actual warehouse. Chances were, if he or any others tried to openly defend it the attackers would all focus their attacks on the home. "This is insane," the Vizard growled as he watched the entire industrial district light up in explosions of red light and as huge waves of air blew by. I hate fighting but this is the most interesting thing to happen for a while. And I can't let these freaks just destroy the base so easily, Ayumu thought with an infuriated scowl. He disappeared from his spot on the streets in a flash of movement.
