CRASH!
The tranquility of an otherwise quiet and controlled morning in Seireitei was ruined by a fearsome explosion near the fourth squad barracks. The fourth squad in particular has always been known as a clean and orderly unit, so unlike squads such as the 12th or the 3rd, an explosion is completely out of the ordinary.
Several more explosions from that area continue on, making even more of a ruckus in the area, apparently out of the control of the members of the squad and seemingly not going to stop at all.
That's when a message is sent to the rest of Seireitei, a cry for help from the other squads so that they can get this under control without having to worry about a sickening demise.
"Report! An unknown entity has begun to unleash havoc in the 4th Squad's district! Requesting immediate assistance!"
The report echoes out across Seireitei, a speedy usage of kido from one of the squad members, repeating it as much as she could until a slashing noise and a sickening gurgle emit through the kido, and it stops.

Fate as the norm was finishing off some paperwork, it wasn't really anything important just bits that needing doing and she knew she didn't want to have to deal with them at another time...she had already had that problem the other day with helping the 8th squad captain with his task in rukongai. She had caught up with it all...but she wasn't as alert as she would normally be.....and so when she heard a loud crash..it took a moment for her to take in what had happend...the sound wasn't coming from to far away from her own barracks, then she heard something.
"Report! An unknown entity has begun to unleash havoc in the 4th Squad's district! Requesting immediate assistance!"
Yet again it took a moment to register with Fate, but before she even got up a shinigami burst into the door bowing low, remebering where he was, then speaking as Fate raised an eyebrow. "Captain! The 4th squad has been hit with something and then need assistance, how shall squad 5 proceed?" The young shinigami had asked as Fate stood up, now was not the time to feel half alseep which she did...but with a slight burst of reaitsu from her zanpakuto making sure she was alright. Fate then nodded towards the young shinigami, speaking calmly, clearly and quickly. "Good for coming this fast, I want you and a team of 20 at the Squad 4 barracks within 2 minutes I will already been there, Go!" The shinigami bowed quickly leaving the room and heading off, Fate glanced down at her zanpakuto that was placed in her right hand glove, smiling softly she flashed stepped away towards Squad 4 ready at any time to use her zanpakuto that was hidden in plain sight if need be.

Captain Mei of the 4th Squad was at her usual job of tending to the sick, injured, and of course, the endless stream of paperwork that comes with it. The daily rounds were something to loathe for the younger ones, but for Mei it was entertaining to talk to the patients. "How's that leg? Did you do your rehabilitation exercises? Make sure you stay away from these food groups ok? They may be delicious, but you're allergic." Mei assigned several of her squad mates to watch the floors for any and all emergencies. After that, she moved onto the paperwork in her office. "Dismissed, You need to stay for another two weeks, Dismissed, Dismissed, and you really need to stay because your ribs are seriously cracked & you've had some serious internal bleeding."
All was calm and nothing seemed wrong on the tv screens linked to all the vitals monitors in the patient's room. Nothing out of the ordinary was on the security screen either. That is, until the ground shook with a thunderous boom and the east wing was demolished. A series of more booms erupted, causing a good amount of the other screens to black out or turn to the "snow channel". A Hell Butterfly was sent throughout the Seireitei before getting cut short
"Report! An unknown entity has begun to unleash havoc in the 4th Squad's district! Requesting immediate assistance!"
A squad member limped into Mei's office before collapsing "Captain... please... Enemy... I have no idea-" "Hush! And hold still; let me heal you." She emitted a bit of spiritual energy quickly before running out to the scene of the first explosion.
A mass of unconscious bodies were strewn about the rubble. "All lower Squad 4 members who are not incapacitated, get all the patients and squad mates out of here and into the bunkers. This is not a drill and treat is as a fire; Immobilized first, able-bodied last! The rest, come to the East Wing with me to fight off these intruders. LET'S GO PEOPLE!!!"
Suddenly, a set of unknown assailants appeared out of the cloud of smoke. "Great... I get to see the bozos who messed with these poor people...This is a place of healing, NOT destruction. Prepare to face the consequences of messing with the legendary 4th squad and its people!"

Post by Katagami Sairou on Jul 25, 2012 18:34:25 GMT -5
It was a rather peaceful morning in the Squad 3 barracks; with Sairou hidden away in his office reading. On the desk in front of him was a huge stack of paperwork with a small note attached saying "For Lieutenant Akiyama From Captain Commander" obviously written in Sairou's own hand-writing. With his chores for the day delegated to his second in command, the captain simply leaned back in his chair and read; his mind completely away from anything going on outside of the book. It wasn't long after he finally got into his book that a loud explosion in the distance caused him to quickly attempt to sit up, only to topple over and hit the floor. The captain immediately stood up and brushed himself off as if nothing happened; just in case anyone had walked in. It wasn't much later that a message resounded throughout the Seireitei notifying the squads that the fourth squad was in danger.
"Well, perhaps I should go and punish whoever is causing a ruckus for interrupting my reading time." the captain said with a smirk as he drew his zanpakutou before walking through the halls of the squad three barracks, banging the sheathe of his zanpakutou on the walls and doors to wake everyone up. "Come on you lazy bums! The Seireitei's under attack! Get all your gear and head to the squad four barracks once you get outta bed!" the captain shouted, making as much noise as he possibly could and tossing flour bombs into the rooms of the less eager members to wake them up. When he reached his lieutenant's room, he kicked open the door and threw some flour bombs in; making sure she was ready for the oncoming battle. "If you're in there and you're not ready for battle, I'll throw more in!" he called out as he waited for his lieutenant to either exit the room if she was in it or approach him from elsewhere.

After a long and hard day of filling out paperwork on top of training the squad's recruits, Hitomi Akiyama found herself sleeping in for once in her long career among the 3rd squad. Peacefully did she rest in her bed, completely missing the SOS sent out by the fourth squad as the tired lieutenant continued to slumber in utter bliss.
That's when a sharp explosion happened in her proximity and she quickly rolled out of her bed and clutched the zanpakuto that was laying on a table nearby before dashing toward her door, only stopping when the face behind the door was none other than her captain's. "O-oh, Captain Sairou! Something's going on?" She asked, peering about the barracks and noticing soldiers beginning to scramble about, gathering their necessary equipment as quickly as possible before Hitomi rose her hand for them to stand down.
"The captain and I are heading out to deal with the disturbance, only those who can keep up with us should muster. The rest of you remain her with the third seat and await further orders." She commanded before looking back at the captain, lowering her hand and gesturing toward the door with her head before she stepped out and then begun moving in the direction of the clashing spiritual pressures.

The destruction about the barracks continued unabated as the 4th squad's operatives attempted to mobilize and overcome their current adversary. Unfortunately, not being trained extensively for battle, they find themselves being easily cut down all around, at least until a group of assassins had encountered the captain herself.
"Foolsssss, Thisss issss the captaaaiiinnn. Focusssss, she's the tarrgeeettttt" One of the hooded assassins said in a snake-like tone of voice as he drew a katar-shaped weapon from the folds of his white cloak. The two alongside him immediately draw similar weapons from the folds of their cloaks as well, grunting slightly and meandering about like snakes as they moved to surround the captain and her small entourage of soldiers.
One of her soldiers, a bit more skittish than his companions immediately rose his sword and charged forward at the one in the center, clashing with the man's weapon and beginning to mutter an incantation before the man pulled another weapon from his sleeve and stabbed him in the chest with it. With a stiff grunt did the shinigami fall over, the life fading from his eyes as the hooded assassin casually stepped ontop and over his body, intent on reaching the captain.
On the outside of the area, the majority of the other assassins were roaming through the district, grabbing and stabbing people as they would arrive, and providing a fairly intensive blockade against any people whom would think to bypass them.

As Fate arrived with the 20 shinigami from her squad, knowing she did not have much time she started to issuse orders with drawing the katana she always carried with her. "Cut down the defenses, help anyone who needs it. You two come with me, let's move it people!" Fate and the two other shinigami she called followed her quickly, while the 18 others moved forward to follow orders.
Some of the assassins nearby saw Fate's haori cursing around 5 rushed forward to attack her. Seeing the feeble attempt to attack her Fate sighs, her experssion no longer the kind gentle one you would normally see from the Squad 5 Captain, insted her experssion deadly serious as she lifts her hand pointing towards the group coming towards her. "Hado #4 Byakurai." The lightning bolt fired towards the group creating a small explosion, after the smoke had cleared most of the group had been whiped out by Fate's attack. However one was seen right in front of her, Fate already with a circle in front of her providing as a sheild. Fate gave a soft smile towards her attacker as she saw him shout. "DIE!" The assassin charged forward slashing at Fate quickly, Fate ducked and dodged not once attacking back which made this assassin fighting her very anoyed. "Grrr..." Fate then flash stepped behind this assassin, stirking him in the heart from behind with her katana. The assassin fell to the ground, no longer breathing.
Fate continued moving forward as quickly as possible, spotting her squad memebers each fighting one assassin some in groups fighting others, or trying to hold them off. Fate was lucky that she must have encounted a small weaker group than the rest before, but she doubted it would be easy from here on....Fate wondered was that group just sent as a distraction for her?
Ooc: sorry it's a little short. And the mass killing of a target group wont happen again in this....they were just really weak being the first to attack her.

((sorry for the crappy post x.x))
CRASH!
Rin sat up suddenly her eyes going wide. Her upper body was wrapped in cloth tightly and she was wearing the loose pants that the shinigami wore. She growled. Her black hair was braided back with a white ribbon to keep it from tangling. Standing up now she growled. "What the hell is going on?!" she let out a shout before the messenger came. She listened to the report twitching.
"Report! An unknown entity has begun to unleash havoc in the 4th Squad's district! Requesting immediate assistance!"
Growling, the captain of squad six grabbed her Zanpakutou, Misaki.
"Calm down," the spirit said, sensing the rising anger in her weilder.
"I'll calm down when its not so freaken loud!" the angry captain yelled grabbing her sake as well and chugging the whole thing. She grabbed a container that held more sake and tied it around her waist with rope. She ran out of her room shouting. "Get up you lazy squad six! We need to help out squad 4 and stat!" Ignoring the groans she quickly flash stepped her way to the squad four barreks. She was ready to fight.

Captain Mei silently watched as one of her squad members recklessly rushed to fight off the enemy, only to be cut down in a short amount of time. She wondered why he would do such a thing since she didn't order him to attack just yet. It was clear why the 11th Squad has teased them for being the "weak, undisciplined group of sissy nurses" squad in the Seireitei. For now, they'll have to remain that way since their specialty was healing and they always took the responsibility of cleaning up after those disgusting, ill-mannered brutes. "It's not enough that you people come in and disturb the tranquility of the Squad 4 barracks, but you also have the gall to cut down defenseless patients? You make me sick. If you're only targeting me, then attack me instead you sick freaks! Kogo no Yuyo!" She released her zanpakutou into its shikai and got into a battle ready stance.
Several of the assassins slithered towards her, resembling ghosts hovering over the ground. Their movements were fast, precise, and above all else, quite deadly. It would indeed be a nice match to fight this many enemies on this level. Unfortunately for them, fighting against a surgeon would be their downfall.
The sound of clashing swords filled the air as Mei fended against the cloaked assassins. Her squad members had a bit of difficulty working around the cloaks of the assassins and stabbed recklessly. "Come on men! Don't just think, fight! Captain Mei is an example of how we should fight. Be precise, be alert, and don't get distracted!" All around the immediate area, Mei and her squad fought against the assassins.
A few men fell as well as some assassins , but not enough to even the odds for the 4th Squad fighters. After a set of defensive blows against three of the robed assassins, Mei lined up her point of view to knock out both them with a powerful blast of kido. "Hado: 54! Haien!" A ray of purple energy flew and hit their targets , burning and rendering them unable to recover. "Where did these guys come from? Their sword skills aren't bad, but it takes a while to find an opening... And where the heck is my back-up? I'm sure at least someone would've made it here by now. Oh. Speak of the devils." She sensed the spiritual pressure of a few captains and a lieutenant approaching the premises of the barracks. In her thoughts, Mei slipped up and caught a katar belonging to one of the leaders on her side, tearing slightly at the fabric as she flash-stepped away in time. A small cut was seen through the torn haori. She retaliated by sending a flurry of attacks right back at him, each one deflected with ease. "Argh! Focus! ...Just what are these guys made of?"

Kiba had been working in his office, as usual, for nearly 3 hours. Most of the paperwork was finished and Kiba had already begun to think about the Training Drills that followed his paperwork in their schedule. He could hear the crowd of his squad outside of his barracks, patiently waiting for their captain to finish his work. As the work finished, Kiba rose and began to walk towards the door when a small moving figure in the window caught his eye, the Hell butterfly.
"Report! An unknown entity has begun to unleash havoc in the 4th Squad's district! Requesting immediate assistance!"
He could hear the sudden silence followed by commotion from his squad outside the room. Kiba grabbed the side of the door, sliding it open and facing his squad. "Listen up. Many of you have received the news already but i will fill everybody in now: Squad 4 Barracks are under attack and i will be taking Team A and B on the counter-attack." he nods at a handful of his Squad members, most likely Team A and B members. "Yes sir!" he heard his squad reply in unison. He and a large portion of the Shinigami stood and walked towards the exit to the Barracks. As they began to leave Kiba called behind him.
"The rest of you will be guarding our Barracks in the event another Squad, possibly ours, is attacked." He didn't even need to wait for a reply, as he could hear the scuffling of his squad preparing for possible battle. Kiba flash stepped away with his squad, and being the fastest squad in the Seireitei arrived quickly on the scene. Kiba watched as Squad 4 attempted to with-stand the attack, but he could clearly see the battle in favor of the Unknown enemies.
"Squad 2, offensive positions!" he shouted to his squad, drawing his Zanpakuto as he leapt into the chaos.

"Time to protect our homes! Those coming with us take all the equipment you can!" the captain called out as he ran past his office and grabbed a medium sized bag which he strapped on his back, leading his squad to the disturbance by the fourth squad barracks.
"We've no time to go easy on them! Flash, Shiden!" Sairou called out as he sped towards the barracks, releasing his zanpakutou in a brilliant flash of purple reiatsu, a pair of clawed gloves appearing on his hands. "Bakudo 26, Kyokko!" the captain called out as he began to prepare for the battle, hiding not only his own presence, but his lieutenant's and a few more front-line men following them. Other squad 3 members who were able also followed suit to hide their own presences. As they neared the barracks, the captain noticed a rather large amount of intruders, wreaking havoc among Seireitei. "Well then decoys, get out there and draw attention away from us." he said with a smirk before opening the bag strapped to him and throwing smoke bombs as the visible squad members let out a shout and charged forward to let Sairou and his lieutenant, if she took the opportunity, slip by rather easily.
Now inside the barracks, the captain dissipated the Kyokko barrier and smirked. "You all must be pretty bad at your job to need an army to take out a single captain, eh!?" the man called out mockingly, hoping to provoke some of them to run at him. Regardless of if they fell for the taunt, he would hold a hand out as he began to speak. "Bakudo 62, Hyapporankan!" he called out as a rod formed in his hands before he threw it and it multiplied into hundreds more, leaving practically no space in the hall he threw it through. "Perhaps we should go help out the captain?" he asked before using Hyapporankan again, keeping the rod in his hands for future use as he began running down the halls of the barracks, throwing his Bakudo down any halls containing assassins, although some members of the fourth squad were also caught in the cross-fire because of Sairou's recklessness.
It didn't take too long for Sairou to find the fourth squad's captain, dealing with a group of assassins. "Looks like the heroes arrived just in time." the captain said as the claws on his weapon flipped backwards to reveal hollow shafts that began charging electricity. "Shall we dance?" he asked with a smirk as he aimed at the assassin leader that had attacked his fellow captain, adopting what he thought was a cool stance before firing the six bullets at the hooded figure.

The captain released his Shikai...? This must be more serious than I thought.
She sped through soul society alongside her captain as the pair would make the journey towards the 4th Squad's Barracks; their pace far outspeeding any of the members of their own squad as they rushed to make the relatively short journey there. Her mind ran flush with worries and concerns over the state of the medical corps, deeply disturbed by the enemy's choice to attack that particular squad over the others. Was this the precursor to an invasion the likes of which Soul Society had never seen? It almost seemed too much of a coincidence to be true.
After the short journey the group had managed to make it to where they were looking for. The place was in shambles, broken tiles and the butchered corpses of medics that attempted to escape during the turmoil littered the grounds they had landed upon. But despite the macabre scene the lieutenant and captain seemed entirely undisturbed, simply unleashing the first part of their plan by utilizing the members that were able to keep up to cause a distraction while the other two would slip by the ranks of the enemy.
Making positive to read their spiritual pressures as she would pass by, Hitomi felt not one but two pressures inside every white-cloaked figure she had spotted as she and her captain made their way around the brunt of them. Now firmly situated on the flanks of the enemies, the captain finally chose to reveal his presence by removing his spell. With a mocking taunt towards their enemies the captain succeeded in drawing the attention of about four men whom immediately turned and drew strange Katar-like weapons out from the folds of their ashen cloaks and proceeded to slowly meander towards the pair.
"I'm ready when you are."
Placing her hand upon the hilt of her sheathed sword, the lieutenant prepared herself for battle. Her heart begun to speed up and pump blood to her veins, but more importantly to her brain. Her reflexes were ready, her eyes were perceptive, and her emotions ran fluid like an undisturbed river. This is why when the captain begun to fire a Bakudo spell, the lieutenant pressed her hands together by her waist as a shimmering ball of blueish energy begun to form itself within her palms. As soon as the rods fired, so too did the twin streaks of flowery energy that the lieutenant fired behind it, both of which successfully pinned and then destroyed the opponents they chose to engage.
"Go, I can direct the battle on the outside."
She watched as the captain ran further down the hallway with his spell queued for fire once more, a thin smile developing on her face as she placed her right hand against the hilt of her sword again and begun to steadily creep towards the entryway to the courtyard, where the other members of the 3rd squad were still engaging the brunt of the enemy forces.
When she arrived she came upon the unfortunate scene of her squadmates essentially being driven back.
"Squad 2, offensive positions!"
Just when things were beginning to look fairly bleak for the 3rd squad, a large numbed of masked soldiers wearing the onmitsukido uniform appeared one by one along the rooftops surrounding the courtyard. At their fore was none other than the captain, Kiba Nakamura. In perfect synchrony did the soldiers draw their swords and leap off the rooftops and into the battlefield, which in Hitomi's eyes was all they needed in order to turn the tide.
"Alright then, I suppose it is time for me to engage."

As she would wander about the atrium; The 5th Squad captain would find herself beset upon from all sides by a sudden barrage of arrows and other various projectile weaponry. Whoever her opponents were, they chose not to reveal their presences however, and quickly masked their spiritual pressure again immediately after their attack attempt. Knowing very well that this particular captain was not going to fall so easily, one of the men situated behind her at the point in time would pull off his Kyoko spell and wordlessly dash directly at her, tanto in hand ready for a horizontal slash.
The chaos in the main courtyard had begun to escalate beyond all recognition due to the arrival of the 2nd Squad. Very effectively cleaning up the first line of soldiers by working in tandem with the remaining 4th Squad resistance and the 3rd Squad's strike unit, the assassins remaining were forced to regroup quickly to dispel the confusion of the ambush. Spears found themselves suddenly conjured in the hands of each of the assassins, whom very quickly would thrust outwards all around their formation, successfully spearing a number of the Onmitsukido agents who were among the front lines.
"Did we attract the whole damn Soul Society? Perfect." A woman in the center of the assassin formations said, not making any effort at all to mask her presence among them. Unlike the other members of the order whom would wear hoods that shadowed her eyes, this woman chose to simply walk among them without. Her long and face auburn hair fell in neat bangs around her face, and alike the rest of the soldiers, one who would sense her spiritual pressure would be able to sense both positive and negative within her. Though her power was insurmountable, fierce and uncontrolled.
"Yoo-hoo~ Captain-san, won't you come and play?" She cried out, pointing her finger dramatically at Captain Nakamura before a sudden burst of speed would render her invisible to the naked eye.
As Captain Nakajima and her forces were surrounded by the assassins, performing neither well or nor badly against them as they continued to stall for reinforcements. More and more numbers from each side would fall as Captain Nakajima and the apparent leader of this unit would continue to exchange blows, only stopping when six electrical bolts begin to streak through the air towards them. "Cowardsssss." The man hissed as he fell flat to the ground to avoid being attacked, sweeping his blade horizontally towards Captain Nakajima in the process of his falling.
Strike or not, when the salvo had faded away the man would stand up again, his hood falling off and revealing his features to all that cared to look. His face featured many piercings, and his hairstyle a bright green mohawk. Looking as though he crawled straight out of the punk rocker era, this assassin was neither aware of or caring of a few of the remaining 4th squaders who would laugh at his appearance.
Especially not when he wove his hand across his face and a bony white mask wove itself into being around his face. Anybody in the area would be able to feel this spiritual pressure spike. It was positively immense. Only growing higher and higher as the man drew out a tanto from the folds of his sleeves and moved with alarming speed to attack Captain Sairou now, desiring his head for even daring to attack him.

As Fate continued down the path she felt small ammounts of reaitsu around her, scanning the area for a moment she came to a stop looking around. She sensed a very small rise in reaitsu as she was then fired upon by many different attacks from all directions all long-ranged it seemed. Fate ducked and dogded the attacks knocking a few away with her use in hakuda, it quickly seemed that these attackers knew how she fight, or at least that she was powerful.
After the attack faded and the attackers seemed to disappear Fate started walking forward again heading into the barracks further her senses still on high alert for anyone or thing. Fate was right to be on guard as soon as she started walking again she heard someone move and draw a weapon, moving towards her. Spinning around Fate saw the man charging towards her, giving her only a few seconds to react but did she indeed. As the attacker went to strike Fate grabbed the man's wrist that was holding the small tanto in his hand, twisting the man's wrist he dropped the weapon crying out in pain. Fate gave a small smile, still holding onto the man's hand Fate jumped kicking him in the chest and sending him into a wall with a loud crash.
Sensing a few other Captain's near by Fate wasted no time in running forward searching for them as she left the thought to be unconcious attacker behind. Rushing around the corner she saw the seen unfold before her eyes, fighting....everwhere and a....Vizard! or what looked to be one was charging towards Captain Sairou. Acting purely on her natural senses Fate charges forward in a flash of light appearing in front of the Captain and blocking the attack with Fate's now zanpakuto changed into shikai, Bardiche already in scythe form as she turned her head towards the Captain behind her and spoke. "Sorry about this Captain hope you don't mind me coming to help, it's just my instinct to do so." After speaking Fate pushed back on her scythe blade hoping to send the attacker back as she spoke again.
"Well well, what's someone like you doing here hmm?"
OOC: hope ya don't mind and the guy that attacked fate is only half out, meaning he can come back and attack her anytime fate just didn't really pay attention to him enough.

Kiba was in the process of engaging when the woman called out to him. "Yoo-hoo~ Captain-san, won't you come and play?" she shouted. Kiba narrowed his eyes, taking his attention off the battle as he had complete trust in his squad to handle it.
"You chose the wrong opponent, woman." he called out to her, glancing at the battle going on. "Squad 2, formation 2F! I'll handle this one." he shouted, turning away from the battle and following the woman off to wherever she was leading him. A firey look rested in his eyes. The appearance of this seemingly harmless woman didn't fool him, and he would cut her down without hesitation for threatening the Seireitei. His Seireitei.
Upon the arrival of their destination, Kiba redrew his zanpakuto, aiming it in her direction. "Now, i will show you what happens when you challenge the Captain of the Stealth Force." he called out, prepared to strike.
