Description: Mei has short, blonde hair with half of her bangs covering her right eye. She is quite tall and has a medium build. She wears a regular captain’s haori with the exception of shorter sleeves. Mei also alternates between holding her sword on her waist or on her back, again for quick healing purposes.
Personality: Mei is not excessively talkative, but can be if she were to be very tired or busy. She takes a bit after the former captain, Retsu Unohana, but is not quite as scary. She is quite patient but when agitated, she speaks in harsh tones, almost like one’s mother.
Likes: Productive people, quiet areas, and helping others
Dislikes: Lazy people, particularly loud areas, and impatient people.
History: Mei was originally a novice doctor in the world of the living. She ran a clinic with the help of her best friends, one of whom was a bodyguard named Bato who would prevent patients or others from stealing medicinal drugs and such. One night, she was closing up when a patient from earlier requested to have a prescription refill. As Mei went to get the medicine, the man changed his tune and held a gun to Mei, demanding that she give him all the strongest medicine she had. She went directly to the medicine and as she grabbed it from its location, she took out her scalpel and fought the man. The crazed man fought her off and as he pushed her away, he shot her in the abdomen and ran off with the medicine. Luckily for her, Bato had not left yet and caught the man as he was leaving the clinic. Mei was fading from consciousness quickly and heard the sirens of the police approaching. She knew Bato had caught the man. She smiled and passed on.
As a shinigami came to her to perform the Konso, she asked how one would become a soul reaper and he gladly told her how. Mei went on to the Soul Society and worked hard to enjoy the life she had helping people. While in the academy, she learned how to properly protect herself in hand-to-hand combat and with various weapons. She rose through the ranks and enlisted in the 4th court guard squad, also known as the medical squad. She became captain after she surpassed Retsu Unohana.

Appearance: Same as normal, with a golden aura.
Abilities: Mei’s zanpakutou allows faster incantation time and increases her healing powers to quickly heal even deep gashes in a fair amount of time. It also allows her to slow time for a period of 60 seconds in real time.
Bankai

Abilities: Mei’s ability to slow time is increased to where she can slow time for 90 seconds in real time. She can even alter time and space on her main target, whether it may be an enemy or a serious wound on an ally. This of course takes quite a bit of her energy so it can only be used a maximum of 3 times or else her bankai abilities revert back to shikai.

Effect: Tozanshō is primarily used for defense. The spell ignites at a single point as blue energy and extends upward from four points and creates a inverted pyramid that solidifies into a barrier around the caster. The spell is usable around other already active spells. It can also be used to trap people inside of it.
