[Flashback] Breeze Witch, Eternal Wolf

The evening is covered in fog, as two figures in black exit a gate within the forest on the outskirts of Karakura Town. The forest seems as malevolent as ever at this time of night, with the trees looking far more menacing in the dark than they ever did during the day. Several spiritual pressures can be felt within the forest, causing the two figures to peer around the area to look for who or whatever the pressures belong to. Looking at the environment, one can notice that the grass is somewhat matted, which indicates that the area the two figures are in is an area that has seen a lot of life. Though one cannot see many traces of the life that is bound to be abundant in this location.

The female raises her hand and a black butterfly lands delicately on her fingers. She closes her eyes while the butterfly on her fingers flaps its wings back and forward for a moment, and then flies away. She lowers her hand and addresses her comrade. Vice Captain Ravynl, it seems that our mission is to clear this forest of it's hollow occupants. A bit mundane for our first mission as lieutenants, isn't it? The girl makes a relaxed smile toward her comrade before re-affirming her gaze back toward the forest. We don't exactly have the advantage here, if I were a betting woman, I'd say our guests know exactly where we are. Why they haven't attacked us yet is obvious in itself. I guess we'd better be careful and try not to get ambushed... It'll be a bit difficult with all this confounded darkness around. A screech can be heard off in the distance, which causes the girl to turn her head around to face in that direction.

She stares for a small while in the direction, but when nothing comes out to attack, she goes back to her line of thought. Normally missions such as this are handled by entire squads of soldiers, yet the mission was given to two fresh lieutenants. Hitomi wonders to herself if this is some kind of test. Why would they deviate from the normal protocol to do such a thing? I can't lose track of the mission yet, okay comrade. What do you think we should do first? She turns to her comrade with an easy-going smile on her face, waiting for his opinion on the situation.

The darkness was overwhelming as the two shinigami stepped forth out of the senkaimon into the world of the living. The night was darker than normal in the forest as it was a moonless night and as such the forest felt dead, not a sign of life anywhere near to be seen. A damp, foul smelling breeze blew across the male shinigami's face and with it brought the feeling of unease and uncertainty. He looked around slowly trying to peer between the trees and get a good estimate on their location.

The man standing in the dark clearing was the newly appointed vice captain of squad one. A position that had never been occupied by someone as young as he was. The new lieutenant had been trained personally by the captain commander once entering squad one fresh out of the academy and was full of natural talent. This mission was the first mission he had been sent on as a vice captain and it was crucial that it be completely successful if he was going to gain the respect of his fellow vice captains and the captains of the Gotei 13. The man looked over to his companion, she was a beautiful young shinigami, who had just reached the title of vice captain not too long before the man did himself. Not only was it his first mission as a vice captain, but it was also the first time he was on a mission alone with the woman.

As the woman spoke to him about their mission he continued to scan the forest for any sign of an oncoming attack. "I'd have to agree Vice Captain Akiyama, i'm sure they know much more about us then we them at this point." The man turned to his comrade now further inspecting her. In the darkness it was hard to make out, but she seemed to be fairly young shinigami herself and couldn't be to much older than the man. As he further expected her she was the same height as him with a slender build due to her feminine charms. She had black hair with brilliant green eyes that were full of kindness. Shaking his head distracted he focused back on her words nodding along with her statement about focusing on the mission. It was a good idea, any wrong move here could be disastrous for the two soul reapers. This mission was usually maned by a full squad of shinigami, but they only had each other to rely on.

Reaching up with his right hand and scratching the back of his head the man spoke softly and unsurely, "Om... Akiyama-sempai you don't have to be so formal with me, you can just call me Sieg." He looked back to the forest trying to control his face. The truth was he was very excited about being sent on a mission with Hitomi, she was looked up to by everyone in squad 3 and a great many other shinigami for her kindness and generosity. Sieghart was determined to make a great first impression on her. "I think we should head east towards town and the thinner part of the forest until we have a better understanding of where we are and what we are going to do. I don't feel safe here and if i'm not mistaken they are watching us as we speak, so lets get going shall we?" Sieghart still trying to make a good impression gave her a calm, confident smile and turned to the east moving forwards. He walked straight and confident scanning the forest keeping a close eye on the distance. But while doing this he had failed to see what was right in front of him. With all of the confidence and suave demeanor he had put on for Hitomi he gracefully tripped on a hole and fell face first into the dirt. "Wonderful."

Hitomi smiles once more as Sieghart tells her that she need not be so formal toward him and call him by his nickname instead of his full title. She nods in acceptance of his request and places her hand over her chest. Ah, being too formal made you uncomfortable no? Okay, Sieg. You may call me by Hitomi as well. When Sieghart notes that they should travel toward the town to get a better vantage point, she nods in agreement, and begins to follow him up until he trips and falls on his face due to a hole he hadn't paid attention to. This being somewhat hilarious, causes Hitomi to giggle a little bit before bending over to lift him off the ground. Lets not be so clumsy on our first mission okay? I'll leave that little slip-up out of the report. Hehe~

As she finishes her sentence, a hollow flies overhead and attempts to buffet the two with a sound wave. In response, Hitomi grabs Sieghart with one arm to pull him closer to her, and raises her hand in the air to cast Enkosen, which reflects the majority of the attack. Well, I guess we're in for it now. Instead of fighting in the darkness, I prefer that we fight somewhere where we aren't likely to get stuck on a claw. She quickly points to the east, in the direction of the town. We break to the east! Go! Hitomi can already feel several spiritual pressures from around the forest closing in on their location as she begins to sprint out of the current area to reach the eastern edges of the forest. She only hopes that her companion manages to keep up so that the two will be able to reassess the situation better.

Sieghart turned his head to the side spitting the dirt out of his mouth and listening to Hitomi say she wouldn't put that in the report. Great, she found his fumble humous, it could always be worse. As Sieghart got to his knees a hollow flew over them and began buffeting them with sound waves. Luckily Hitomi reflected the attack and pulled Sieg up to his feet saying something about her preferring not to get stuck on a claw and took off to the east. This made Sieghart smile, if anyone was going to be stuck on a claw, it was going to be these hollows stuck on his. This idea made him smile even more.

Sieghart turned to the screecher hollow and muttered one word, "Byakurai," then turned to follow Hitomi east as the shattered remains of the hollow fell to the ground and disintegrated. After a few moments of dodging the dark trees he caught up with Hitmoi running up beside her, the hollow cries now faint behind them. "Keep going we're pulling ahead of them nicely." He told her looking around the forest keeping a keen eye for another attack. As they headed to the less dense area of the forest, Sieghart briefly looked over to Hitomi and smiled. "Thanks for that back there, I can be kinda clumsy some times." he said looking away out of embarrassment.

As she sprints out of the area, she hears Sieghart cast a Kido to incinerate the Shrieker from before, and then catch up with her as they retreat to a clearer area in the forest. Upon reaching the area, Hitomi turns to Sieghart as he thanks her and admits that he's a little clumsy sometimes. This makes Hitomi smile, as her favorite trait in people is honesty. She kindly outstretches her right hand to place it on his shoulder and then gazes into his brown eyes while she offers him a few words of encouragement. It's quite alright, as long as someone like you is around, I feel perfectly safe. While her hand is on his shoulder, Hitomi can feel the tone of his shoulder muscles, signifying to her that though Sieghart isn't a large man by any means, he is quite fit. For but a moment, Hitomi is slightly impressed. Another screech in the distance causes Hitomi to withdraw her hand, and instead place her hand upon the hilt of her sword. She closes her eyes for a moment to try to pick out how many figures are rushing toward the two shinigami at the moment, and discerns about five figures approaching. Well, here we go.

True enough, a Bulbous G, Fishbone D, Shrieker, Numb Chandelier, and Metastacia emerge from the darkness enshrouded wood in separate directions and stop in front of the two shinigami. These hollow seem to be of limited intelligence, having not actually come out in ambush, but rather just akin to rabid dogs running toward a meal. Hitomi takes a moment to glance at the Hollow that have appeared, sizing them up to figure out what kind of attacks they'll use. Of course, knowing the type of Hollow that they are, Hitomi is quite aware of their primary abilities. The first thing she picks up on after the fact that these Hollow seem to be quite dumb, is that they're all also fairly low in spiritual pressure, this is suspicious, as most weak hollow don't rush out to attack beings that are far more powerful than they are. Hitomi surmises that this is by no means the first wave of Hollow that are going to attack the two Shinigami. Without warning, Hitomi immediately uses shunpo to get behind the Fishbone D who is in the very rear of the pack and slices his arm off while drawing her blade. This is an excellent time to try out the Iaido I learned from Squad 11's captain. She sheathes her blade, and leaps to the right as the Hollow bellows out in pain and then spins the other arm around to try to strike at her. Successfully dodging this, she slashes at his other arm, and succeeds in severing this as well. The Hollow slumps over to his knees, and begins to disintegrate as Hitomi sheathes her blade once more. Whew! One down! Out of the corner of her eye, she notices that the Bulbous G and Numb Chandelier have begun to creep toward Sieghart. She pays them no mind, as she also notices that the shrieker has taken flight, and the Metastacia seems to have ducked into the shadows and out of sight. On top of that, the creature seems to be masking its spiritual pressure so that Hitomi is unable to simply detect him.

Realizing this is no longer a time to fool around with new fighting tactics, Hitomi draws her blade and takes up her somewhat casual one-handed fighting stance. Left foot in front, right foot in back, sword in right arm, which hangs just behind her while her left hand rests in front of her. (Anyone familiar with Kingdom Hearts should just think Aqua's battle stance.) These aren't the only ones in the wood it seems. Be careful and try to conserve your energy so that we aren't too tired for another assault. This being said, she also throws in another bit in an effort to make her companion feel more relaxed. If you end up getting into any bit of trouble, don't be afraid to call on me for assistance. She giggles slightly. You can expect the same from me! Please save me if things don't look so good, eh? Okay! Let's get pumped! As she says this, a few dozen Demi-Hollow march out of the woods and surround the clearing where the two shinigami are. Atchaaa! What a textbook ambush! And I fell right for it! Captain Sairou is never gonna let me live this one down!

CUE FIGHT MUSIC, BATTLE START.

Once they reached their desired destination in a small clearing Hitomi turned to Sieghart and placed her small hand on his shoulder. After hearing her encouragement and her trust in him, Sieghart smiled brightly at her and said, "Don't worry, I'll make sure we get out of this alright." He then turned to the direction of a screech coming from the forest just in time to see a assorted collection of hollows emerge from the trees.

As Sieghart prepared to attack Hitomi acted, surprising him with her speed and grace by quickly dispatching the Fishbone D. As he watched Hitomi he noticed two hollow quickly charging on his position. He picked out a Bulbous G and Numb Chandelier. As they drew closer he slid back into his fighting stance and prepared for the attack. He heard Hitomi caution him to save his energy as this fight was no where near being finished and as such he decided he would take care of these hollows the simplest way he saw fit. Shunpo'ing behind the Numb Chandlier knowing that it was the primary target of the two, Sieghart delivered a devastating hammer fist to the top of the hollow's head sending it flying down to the ground only to be crushed by Sieghart landing on top of it. As the Bulbous G turned to face Sieghart who was now behind him Sieghart drew back for another punch that connected just as the Bulbous G had opened his mouth to take a bite out of him. The following result ended with a fist shaped hole in the back of the hollow's throat. He then followed the punch with a left uppercut to the chin. As his left fist connected with the monster Sieghart muttered, "Sho," and the added force of the kido took the monsters head clean off causing it to disintegrate before him.

After he had dispatched the two hollow he turned back to Hitomi who had just suggested that they watch each others backs. "Haha don't worry we've got this," Sieghart said just as a squad of demi-hollow emerged from the forest and surrounded them. Sieghart shunpo'ed to Hitomi and drew his sword saying "Well I'll take the right half and we'll meet in the middle. Sound good?" With out waiting for her response he took off to the right dispatching the first hollow with a swift diagonal slash to its face. While he dispatched the first demi-hollow the two nearest hollows attacked Sieghart. The first one to reach Sieghart swung at him with his left claw only to be stopped by Sieghart with a right handed slash. Sieghart then followed the block up by rotating his blade to the right enabling him to step forward with his right foot and turn into the attack passing directly under the claw. As he did this he continued to turn into the hollow and to follow it up by delivering a spinning slash through the body of the hollow and then shunpo'ing through with the attack cutting the next demi-hollow in half fluidly. After this he glanced quickly at Hitomi to make sure she was alright and then continued on to meet two more demi-hollow.

Sieghart notices the situation, and tells Hitomi that he plans on eliminating half of the Demi-Hollow crowd. She smiles to herself as Sieghart immediately takes off and begins dispatching several foes. Not wanting to be left behind, Hitomi strides forward as the other half of the Hollow unit begins to pounce in her direction, and casually bisects the first one to leap at her with but a flick of her blade. Another Demi-Hollow leaps in front of her and then rears back his arm in order to swipe at her with his claw, only to find his arm is now missing. The hollow screams in pain as Hitomi brings her blade downward and bisects this fellow as well. Yet another hollow pounces toward Hitomi, this time coming from her right side with claws at the ready. She pivots on her left foot to avoid the initial swipe, and during the movement delivers a roundhouse kick into the hollows side in order to put him off balance. She then steps inward and delivers a side kick which sends the hollow flying backward into his allies. I can't get careless yet. I have to do this as swiftly as possible.

One of the hollow manages to recover quickly enough to bring himself back into the action, and charges toward Hitomi as fast as possible. In her head, she questions how Hollow as stupid as these could ever launch such a perfect ambush, and then fail to cause any significant stress upon their opponents as she lunges forward with her blade, stabbing the hollow through his mask. As he disintegrates, Hitomi spins clockwise with her blade outstretched and manages to slice a Hollow that managed to get behind her. Upon feeling blade against flesh, Hitomi slashes diagonally upward to finish the job. Hitomi glances over toward Sieghart to make sure he's alright before realizing that the Shrieker was building up spiritual pressure while he was in the air. She casually raises her arm in the air and quickly mutters an incantation. Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! On the wall of blue flame, inscribe a twin lotus. In the abyss of conflagration, wait at the far heavens. Hado number 73! Soren Sokatsui! Two brilliant blue flaming lotuses shoot out of Hitomi's two fingers, and collide into the Shrieker, creating a somewhat picturesque explosion that completely eliminates the hollow. That being done, Hitomi returns to her fighting stance and prepares to meet the next few hollow that decide to attack her.

After cutting the next two demi-hollow in half Sieghart looked up into the sky in time to see Hitomi's kido destroy a hollow in a blue explosion. "Have to say you get style points for that one," Sieg smiled and turned to face the next hollow. The beast lunged out him only to catch Sieg's blade through the mouth. Sieghart then shunpo'ed around quickly dispatching the remaining weak hollow with a variety of quick slashes combined with an occasional re-enforced kido punch. As the last of his share of the demi-hollow died at his feet Sieghart turned to look for the next enemy noticing that a steady flow of demi-hollow had begun emerging from the forest near by Hitomi and had begun to gang up on her. Sieghart shunpo'ed straight into the group of demi-hollow yelling as he went, "Not on my watch!"

Sieghart using his built up speed sliced straight through two hollow with his first swing and then doubled back around blocking a hollow's swing with his blade. He then fired a Byakurai into the hollow's face. Following up the kido, Sieghart took his sword and switched into back hand style thrusting the blade backwards stabbing the hollow directly behind him in the throat and then pulling his sword free he spun to the left cutting another hollow in half with his backhanded blade. As the three hollow turned to dust Sieghart flipped his sword back around and fought his way to the middle of the circle until he reached Hitomi's position. "Are you alright?!" He asked cutting through yet another hollow. "We need to do something different, they just keep coming."

The Demi-hollow continue to march out of the forest in seemingly endless droves, which causes Hitomi a measure of alarm. Sieghart manages to clear the hollow in the area around her, but soon too realizes that they'll run out of Stamina if this continues. As a hollow leaps up to attack Hitomi, she bisects it with a slash of her blade and continues to ponder what to do as Sieghart asks her if she's alright. She nods, and then goes back to pondering a bit. Then it hits her, if these Hollow are coming out so direct, there must be a leader that is commanding their every move. She also takes note of the Metastacia that seems to be hiding within the area. We should ignore these grunts and search for the leader. There has to be something here controlling these things. If I was a little more well versed in sensory Kido, I'd feel a lot better... Another Hollow attempts to attack her by leaping at her from behind, but Hitomi gracefully sidesteps to avoid the attack, slicing it as it leaps past her. As it disintegrates, Hitomi uses Shunpo to disappear from the scene.

She appears further into the forest, just in sight of the area she was before. She then closes her eyes and attempts to pick out the spiritual pressures in the area. She can feel that of the demi-hollows, Siegharts, and what is perhaps a Metastacia, but something else confuses her. A spiritual pressure that is exceedingly large seems to be emanating from the forest, but she cannot exactly tell where this creature is. Hitomi surmises that this large power must be the leader. Okay... I think i can do this. I think I know what's going on! She turns her head and shouts back so that Sieghart can hear her. Comrade! I believe I have figured out what to do. There has to be an arrancar hiding in this forest somewhere. All we have to do is destroy him in order to make our lives a lot easier here! Hitomi finally decides to get serious about this, and swipes her blade in the air horizontally. Reach into the heavens and strike down the cosmos, Masamune! With her shikai activated, Hitomi prepares herself for an assault on what might be the leader here.

Cutting through hollow after hollow Sieghart turned to look for Hitomi only to see her shunpo away to somewhere in the forest. I hope she's ok, he thought to himself as the hollow began to encircle him. He was now by himself and the demi-hollow were completely around him attacking from all angles. Sieghart swung his sword furiously cutting hollow after hollow down yet slowly they began to over run him with shear numbers. Sieghart spun in a 180 severing two hollows in half at there chest and then backflipped over a hollow charging him from behind crushing his skull with the hilt of his sword on the way down and then kicking it sending the broken hollow flying into three of its brothers. Two other hollow's immediately charged him once he landed and he had to shunpo at the last moment to avoid their attack, but when he had cut the two down from behind him another hollow slashed open his back from behind. As the blood dripped down his back and Sieg dropped to one knee he said, "Damn, there's just so many of them, I'm going to have to end this soon." Just then he heard Hitomi yell that she had figured out the problem and was going to go after the leader. He knew then that he had to finish up here fast to go help her.

Standing back up and dodging the hollows second blow Sieghart spun on his left foot to deliver a double strike thrust that he had enforced with his kido to send the hollow flying backwards taking several of the closer hollow down with it. He then grabbed the two hollow to his right and left and spun in another 180 using their weight and another kido to send them flying away taking several more hollow down each. All that was left was the front and then he would have the time he needed to call his shikai. As the closest hollow infront of him closed in Sieghart sent a Byakaurai into the hollow's chest and launched into the crowd with a rib crushing kick. This was his chance, releasing his sword in a gust of blue energy Sieghart yelled, "Tear them to pieces, Fuykuu Ookami!" and arm was engulfed in a blue torrent only to dissipate and reveal his shikai.

Making a clawing motion towards himself he drew the air around the hollow's feet crashing into him tripping all of them and flipping them on their back. "Pathetic, Wind Shear!" Sieghart rotated in a circle releasing the air torrent he had drew around him back towards his enemies re-enforced with his own kido. As the gust moved through the crowd of hollow several hollow disintegrated due to massive lacerations received all over their bodies and the ones who lived were badly damaged and bleeding all over the place. "Stupid hollows, did you know my zanpakutou is known as the most violent of all wind zanpakutou? It's because when i'm done my enemy is covered in so many hair line cuts it seems as if their bodies literally seep blood from their pores." and with this he lifted his arm into the air and drew a massive amount of wind around his arm. As the few remaining hollow who could stand rushed towards him wind blades whipped of his arm randomly cutting them down hollow by hollow. "You poor creatures. Allow me to end your misery," Sieghart said with a dry tone and punched the ground releasing the pent up energy with a second wave of wind. As the remaining hollow died from the violent torrent of wind radiating from the punch, Sieghart smiled smugly to himself hoping that were ever the leader and Hitomi were fighting that the hollow felt just a little of what was coming for him.

Hitomi could feel a fierce spiritual pressure behind her as she dashed about the forest looking for what is likely to be the Arrancar. She immediately recognizes the spiritual pressure as belonging to Sieghart and surmises to herself that he likely had just activated his shikai in an attempt to clear out his area as fast as he could. This means that he heard her, and is preparing himself to be able to assist her against the arrancar that likely roams the area. Soon, she finds herself being followed by another presence, and after a few more steps, Hitomi feels a pair of arms around her. Did you just forget about me, foolish soul reaper? I will obliterate you and absorb your essence all for myself! This obviously being the Metastacia, Hitomi can do nothing more than smile to herself and respond to his threat. You think you've got me, do you? I can't say your offer sounds very beneficial on my end, so I'll politely~ Hitomi places her hand on the Metastacia's torso, and begins to charge reiatsu in it. Decline!

A Soren Sokatsui from her outstretched hand crashes into the Metastacia point blank, obliterating it and propelling Hitomi forward. She unfortunately did not plan for the sudden propulsion, so when she notices that she's on a crash course to a tree in front of her, she places her hand in front of her body and casts Enkosen to shield the blow. This succeeds to an extent, as the majority of the impact is absorbed by the tree, but leaves Hitomi a little dazed anyways. Maybe I should.... learn a few... weaker spells before I try something like that one again....Aaauugh.... She takes a moment to shake her head and regain her senses before once again seeking out the leader figure. Off in the distance, she can sense a load more Demi-Hollow converging upon Sieghart's position. I bet if I follow where they're coming from, I can find the mastermind. I cannot imagine the arrancar being a master strategist.

Hitomi takes to the treetops and follows the trail of Demi-Hollow to a clearing in the wood. As expected, Hitomi comes across an arrancar who is likely the leader of these forces. Nobody pulls an ambush like Squad three, eh? Hitomi leaps from the treetops and lands in front of the arrancar in a graceful manner. The wind blows gently as Hitomi brandishes her blade as she readies herself to attack him. The hollow leaps backwards a ways and addresses her. Y-You! How did you get the jump on me!? I was so careful about this. No matter! Minions! Destroy this foolish shinigami! Demi-hollow from across the area begin to converge upon Hitomi's position. The Arrancar finds himself confused, as Hitomi seems to show no signs of caring about the situation at all. What? Too scared to even move? You have no idea what you brought yourself into, foolish woman. Hitomi lets out a short chuckle before raising her head and facing the arrancar. Is that so? Out of all the lieutenants in the Seireitei, I have the fortune of being the lieutenant of Squad Three. I am Hitomi Akiyama, she who will bring about your graceful demise.

Hitomi swings her right arm horizontally behind her causing a crescent shaped shockwave to emit from the blade and bisect a line of Hollow behind her. Upon seeing their comrades destroyed, the rest of the demi-hollow begin to pounce upon Hitomi's position. Hitomi responds by cartwheeling, sending out another shockwave that cuts down another line of Hollow. She gracefully swings her blade diagonally up, and then diagonally downward in the opposite direction, sending out an X shaped shockwave that decimates yet another horde of the Hollow around her. A Demi-hollow attempts to leap at her from behind, meeting nothing but Hitomi's blade, which is covered in a whirlwind. The Hollow is sent flying backward into a few of his fellows, where the whirlwind expands, and slices the several hollow around him. Hitomi sheathes her blade and faces the arrancar, who seems in awe after losing his personal guard. Out of all the lieutenants in the Seireitei, I am the most graceful. How did you like my dance, arrancar?

When the violent wind cleared the near by trees crashed to the ground having been split in two from the gale force winds released by Sieghart's zanpakutou. Standing up straight Sieghart assessed the damage around him. All the demi-hollows had been turned to dust and it looked like Hitomi had managed to cut off the flow somehow. Searching out for signs of Hitomi's spiritual pressure Sieghart located her some distance to his left. Sieghart then began dashing through the forest as the trees whipped by in a blur of green and brown. "I wonder how she's holding up." Sieghart said as he began to close in on the two beings location and began to feel the blunt force of the spiritual pressure. "Hmmmn, definitely an arrancar of some sort. I hope he's ready for a giant whoop ass Sieghart style."

Reaching the small clearing Sieghart could just make out the shapes of the arrancar and Hitomi. He shunpo'ed up a tree to get a better look at the situation before rushing in needlessly. The arrancar seemed to be a close ranger fighter with a nice strong build. Sieghart took notice that he carried no sword, which he found peculiar. "I thought arrancar had zanpakutou, hmmmn, maybe he's not a true arrancar." Turning his attention to Hitomi he watched as she gracefully sheathed her blade and addressed the arrancar boasting that she was the most graceful of all wind type users. Sieghart nodded his head in agreement. She was without a doubt the most graceful wind user he had ever seen, if not the most graceful out of all the current shinigami in the soul society.

Stepping into the clearing next to Hitomi, Sieghart gave her a small smile. "A bit of bragging never hurt anybody," he said winking at her and then turning back to the strange arrancar. "We are the vice captains of squads one and three. We have been ordered to handle this situation according to the danger presented before us. On the jurisdiction of the Gotei 13 we have come to judge you hollow." Sieghart raised his hand pointed on clawed finger towards the hollows throat, "Allow me, Miss Hitomi. Tear, Shurasshu." On Sieghart's command he flicked his wrist upwards releasing a wave of gale force wind flying towards the hollow. "Bahahaha, you've come to judge me? Pathetic shinigami, allow me to show you true strength," the arrancar bellowed at Sieghart and swiped the attack away with his palm sending it to split a tree neatly in half. He then appeared in the air to Sieghart's left and delivered a crushing kick to Sieghart's head.

Sieghart raised his arm and caught the arrancar's attack sliding back a few inches as the power dispersed through his feet. Grabbing ahold of the arrancar's leg Sieghart pulled him closer and stepped forward with his right arm to deliver a devastating punch. The hollow however was to fast and caught Sieghart's punch in the air bringing his other leg up and kicked Sieghart in the chest sending him flying backwards into a tree. "Do you feel my power puny soul reaper!? I am a Guardian of the Forest, my power is far greater than your own," said the arrancar once again appearing in front of Sieghart and continued to release a volley of high powered punches stirring up dust around the two beings. Once the dust had subsided the arrancar stood with his fist out stretched and grasped in Sieghart's clawed hand. Spitting blood Sieghart's spiritual energy spiked, "Really? Is that all you got? I'm actually rather disappointed," and with that Sieghart pulled the arrancar in and delivered a full force headbutt sending the arrancar flying backwards several feet. As the arrancar slid to a stop his own spiritual energy spiked as he roared, "Raaarr, how dare you, you cocky brat! You will both perish!"

After her little boast, Hitomi notices Sieghart stepping beside her and commented on her bragging. Well, glad you were able to catch up. After she spoke, Sieghart winks and then addresses the Hollow about their mission here. He then raises his hand and asks Hitomi to allow him this honor. Oh, of course. Take this guy out as soon as you can so we can start the clean-up process. As he calls forth his shikai, Hitomi takes a step backward and cups her hands in front of her while watching what unfolds.

The battle starts off with the arrancar show-boating by delivering powerful attacks that do not connect with Sieghart, and then a kick that Sieghart manages to block. Hitomi smiles as Sieghart is able to grapple the Hollow and throw a punch, but looks worried with the hollow manages to catch this punch, and send Sieghart away with a kick. (Why is Sieghart playing with this fellow so much? I saw him during our days in the academy, he is nowhere near this slow.) The arrancar then appears in front of Sieghart and delivers a fierce volley of punches in Sieghart's direction. After a few seconds of punches, and a bit of a dust cloud, Sieghart stands tall, grasping the Hollows' hand within his claw.

Hehe, that's the Sieghart I know! she says as Sieghart delivers a fierce headbutt that sends the Arrancar flying backwards. This seems to have enraged the arrancar, who allows his spiritual pressure to spike up as he throws out a threat toward the two shinigami. From my point of view, you seem not to be doing so hot against even one of us. How do you expect to compete against us both if I draw my blade once more? She shakes her head a little and then puts her hand to the handle of her blade, which she slowly plucks from it's scabbard. Don't answer that. You don't get a chance to show me. She takes up a traditional kendo stance, and then disappears from her spot. When she reappears behind the arrancar, her sword has returned to Shikai, and is covered with a whirlwind. The arrancar turns around, but not in time to avoid a downward slash from Hitomi, which sends him flying backward a short distance before he is able to gain his footing.

Ignorant shit, it's time I showed you weaklings my true power! The arrancar begins to shout into the air as his spiritual pressure reaches an all-time high. He suddenly grows much taller and monstrous looking, eventually peaking out to be about eight feet tall. From nowhere, a sword the size of a zweihander appears, which he effortlessly holds in one hand. (

Brandishing this blade, he points his free hand at the two shinigami and makes a proclaimation. You stupid punks, now you're really in for it! Hitomi looks over to Sieghart and smiles, before turning her attention back toward the now much more powerful arrancar. You're just so adorable. You power up just a little bit and suddenly you feel as though you are invincible? This is the folly of the arrogant. Comrade, you know what to do. Hitomi points her blade toward the beast as a signal for Sieghart to begin his assault. She knows the monster is more powerful than he was before, but she is completely confident in that as long as Sieghart is around, she holds the advantage against this beast.

Walking back over towards Hitomi, Sieghart watched as the arrancar continued to boast and transformed into a monstrous beast. As the arrancar roared once again Hitomi gave Sieghart the signal to continue with the fight. "Sure thing, I'll finish this up quickly and maybe we can get back to the soul society in time for me to take you to grab a bite to eat? I'm getting kinda hungry." Sieghart addressed Hitomi with a big smile once again winking at her and with this disappeared from sight.

Sieghart reappeared above the arrancar spinning down and delivering an axe kick to the hollow's head only to have it blocked by the giant beasts raised forearm, but before the hollow could grab him, Sieghart disappeared once again appearing behind him and kicked in the back of the arrancar's knee. As the hollow crashed to the ground Sieghart disappeared again appearing above the hollow and delivered a hammer fist to the back of the hollow's head making the hollows head crash to the ground. Before he hit the ground however Sieghart once again shunpo'ed beneath the hollow and brought up his knee catching the hollow in the face and flipping it over on its back.

"Really now? Weren't you going to show us your true power? If i'm not imagining this I believe your laying on your back and I'm standing over you. Feel free to correct me if i'm wrong arrancar." Sieghart laughed and jumped back a few feet as the hollow stood up roaring with rage and released even more of its supressing reshi. "HOW DARE YOU! You dare to tease me?! You are nothing but a fly compared to my strength! Die Shinigami!" The hollow roared once again and charged Sieghart swiping down at him with his giant sword. Sieghart caught the giant blade with his clawed hand, but the pressure and impact of the attack caused his feet to crumble and sink into the ground. "I said DIE!" the hollow roared once again and released a wave like cero from the edge of his sword causing a massive explosion to engulf Sieghart.

When the dust cleared Sieghart was leaning against a tree covered in blood and smiling. "Thats more like it, now its getting interesing. Hitomi would you mind stepping in for a second while i build this up?" Sieghart turned to ask Hitomi as he began to build a massive amount of energy in the palm of his clawed hand.

After toying with this arrancar for an amount of time, Sieghart steps aside and asks Hitomi to handle the situation for an amount of time so that he would be able to mount a fierce attack. She nods, and immediately vanishes from her spot. This. She appears above the beast with her hand atop his head, upon closer inspection, one can see that Hitomi's hand is glowing blue. Is how a leader fights.

A catastrophic explosion suddenly occurs that propels Hitomi into the sky. The Arrancar, having been hit point-blank by a Soren Sokatsui, loses his balance and falls over, though the spell was unable to severely wound him. Knowing this was not about to injure him too much, Hitomi swipes her blade several times in mid-air, sending several crescent shaped shockwaves of slicing wind in his direction. Each shock-wave connects, causing the arrancar an amount of trauma. Pah. So you've a little bit of power, it means NOTHING! He suddenly raises to his feet and hoists his blade in the air. From the blade shoots a thin cero that moved so quickly it was able to impale Hitomi through her stomach. Her eyes widen as her body registers the pain, but the arrancar doesn't stop there.

With the thin beam still impaling Hitomi, she falls onto his blade, which the arrancar wastes no effort in swinging into the ground. When the dust from the impact clears, the arrancar hoists his blade over his shoulder and laughs at the pitiful state he put Hitomi in. All that talk, and all them fancy moves didn't get you anywhere, you little shit. Now look at you, battered and bleeding in a hole that will soon serve as YOUR GRAVE! He hoists the blade into the air dramatically, and then brings it down with all his might. Suddenly something feels amiss. When the blade collides with the ground where Hitomi was located, there is nothing.

Thank the heavens..... I know how to heal. The arrancar looks above himself, and notices Hitomi standing atop a tree looking relatively unwounded. Yes, I wouldn't go into battle without the proper supplies, you know. In this case, I am quite the adept healer. Did this buy you enough time, partner?
