Blossom Viewing Party

[Tsuyuri Mist]

((Past Winter))

((Past winter before all conflict with the Arrancars))

Tsuyuri walked out onto the snow covered yard. He had rented a hot spring and Inn for this party. He that it would nice if the Captains and Lieutenants could enjoy some time away from work. Having had a slight conflict with the Head Captain to have the approval of the party verified. He wanted everything to go perfectly.

He had a long table set upon the yard of the inn. He customized it so that everyone would be comfortable by making the cushions of the table heated. As the servers came out and set up the tables a grin grew on Tsuyuri's face everything was going well. He had everything planned. A dinner at the table viewing the blossoms and then everyone could attend the hot springs after dinner then head inward and rest.

The only thing that was missing was the blossoms. As he looked at the yard he decided to wait and get changed before planting the trees around the table. He headed inward into his room and slowly got changed into a pink kimono with a design of cherry blossom branches on it. Once done putting on his kimono he walked back out to the yard before grabbing a matching pink veil to help keep the snow from falling on his milky pink hair.

He slowly waked over to the table and took a seat on the cushion. Then drawing his sword out as he unsheathed it he smelled the smell of plum blossoms on the blade. With a gentle voice he whispered "Root down Shiraume" and within minutes a large plum blossom tree grew behind him in complete full bloom. Within minute one tree turned into eight that wrapped around the table.

The glow of the flowers illuminated the table itself so that no lanterns were need as Tsuyuri watched the sun set now he only needed to wait a little longer for the guests to come.

[Akiyamasan]

Having heard by word of mouth that the fourth squad was hosting a blossom viewing festival, Hitomi decided it would be a good idea to give her squad members a break, and let them go to the festival as a way to take a break from the large volume of work that had been piling up lately. She began her day by going to her dresser and struggling to pick out something to wear for the festival, as the typical shinigami uniform is too formal for a day off. It's never easy to decide. I suppose it's a bit too cold for a Yukata... I don't really have anything other than martial arts uniforms... She says to herself as she carefully ponders what to wear. As she hadn't ever been very rich, Hitomi never bought clothes for herself, the few outfits she has generally being related to work. Sure enough, she manages a light green Kimono that was hiding in the back of her dresser, which she promptly dresses herself in while grabbing a nearby oil-paper umbrella to keep the snow off herself. She leaves her quarters and enters the main area of the barracks, where she addresses the squad.

Well everybody, what would you say to a little break? She says, which causes the entire barracks to drop what they're doing to pay attention to her. Heck yeah! The squad in kind replies, obviously eager to escape the humdrum duties that the squad is often assigned. Hitomi smiles and announces to the squad that they are to attend the 4th squad's party. I understand that this squad tends to be a little rowdy during the outings, but I want you all on slightly better behavior this time around. Not that you can't have your fun, we're going to a hotsprings inn afterall. This prompts a little noise out of the squad, the male members of the squad especially eager to see the female members in less clothes and likewise. Hitomi ignores several woos from several members who pander about wanting to see her in a towel as well before continuing to speak. A bit of revelry is fine and all, but you're going to behave this time around. Anyways, I suppose I shall go on ahead, any interested may come after dressing themselves in something nice.

She exits her barracks and makes her way over to Rukongai, and then the inn, the manager notifies her that they had been expecting her, and directs her to a table that is set out for the party. Hitomi notices lieutenant Mist had been the first person to arrive, and is gazing at the sunset longingly as he waits for more guests to arrive. Not wanting to disturb him, Hitomi takes a seat on one of the pillows that lay beside the table, and quietly examines the sunset before picking up a cup of tea and taking a silent sip. (I love the winter, but Autumn has to be my favorite season. The vibrant colors, the cool weather. Mm...)

[Nakajima Mei]

Captain Nakajima made her rounds through the squad 4 barracks. She was aware of the rumor that the lieutenant of squad 4 had requested a sort of party for the lieutenants and captains. She of course forgot due to her mass of work that piled up after she heard it. Mei had no objections to the blossom viewing because she saw of it as a type of therapy for everyone (a very good reason why she approved it in the first place.)

Mei returned to her office and noticed a small stack of papers to be filled out. As she looked over them she began thinking "Hmm... It's not much to do...I guess I could put it off until after I get back from the hot springs.." She gently set them back and quickly sent a Hell Butterfly to the members of her squad. "Attention to those of you within the squad 4 barracks: As you know, there is a part- I mean relaxation therapy session for the captains & lieutenants. I entrust he care of the barracks to the 3rd, 4th, and 5th seats in Tsuyuri's and my absence. Thank you & do your best everyone~"

Mei packed her overnight bag along with a first aid kit in case someone got hurt. She went through her dresser to find a suitable kimono for the party and was pleased to find her pink one that faded to a deep purple near the bottom, that also had the print of a cherry blossom tree. "Perfect! Now onwards to the inn~"

Mei shunpo'd to the inn/hot springs in the Rukongai and noticed that another captain had arrived before her. She waved hello and took her place at the table. "Hello Lieutenant Akiyama~ How are things fairing in Squad 3? I hope everyone is in their best health~"
