Personality: Kyo is also very loyal, polite, and intelligent. He is quite a friendly person and has a high admiration for his leader and will serve him without any hesitation, unless the orders go against his morals or common judgment. He loves to spend time alone and contemplate life. He also loves to sit on the roof tops and watch nature; he also likes to enjoy cups of sake. Once you spend more time with him he will be more open to speak and hang out with you. He has very good mannerism and is very polite when speaking to people, especially those who either hold the same rank that he used to, or are captain class Vizard. His intelligence is great, but nothing compared to someone who holds the vice-captain and captain of the 12th squad. He is able to come up with battle plans in the midst of battle and can pick up little clues that will help him gain victory. Kyo is very caring despite his cold appearance and cherishes life. He is also able to define the differences between right and wrong. When in battle his persona changes and he becomes just like Zaraki. and he will also use any mistakes his opponents make to his advantage.

Abilities: Amaterasu can control fire itself and change its shape. It has the power to release a sea of fire that can engulf the entire area. With it Kyo can create slashing waves of fire and create tornados of fire. He can surround his blade in fire to increase its destructive power. The relentless nature of the attacks results in a widespread chain of destruction that reduces anything caught in its wake to crumbling remains, to where the destructive effect persists and transfer to anything said remains come into contact with, destroying them in return.

Name: Shunkō (瞬閧, Flash Cry)

Effect: An advanced secret battle technique that combines the grappling technique of Hakuda and the incantation technique of Kidō. It is an ultra-powerful technique in which one drives Kidō into one's arms and legs.[1] The Kidō itself can also be controlled and fired at opponents from the body.[2] Shunkō first appeared being used by Captain Suì-Fēng in her fight against her old master, Yoruichi Shihōin. Suì-Fēng states she invented the technique of combining Kidō and Hakuda so recently that she had no experience with it in battle, let alone enough time to give it a name. Yoruichi, however, reveals Shunkō is the technique's name, and that she invented and learned the ability long before Suì-Fēng. The keisen uniform has no back or sleeves because the fabric will rip apart when the user's back and arms are filled with Kidō. Though Yoruichi's Shunkō is perfected, unlike Suì-Fēng's version, she still has difficulties controlling it. It could be said that Shunkō is a secret technique used by the Corps Commander of the Executive Militia. The uniform worn when punishment is carried out is specifically geared for Shunkō.
