The Lazy Captain. A Impending Attack!

[Kiba Nakamura]

Kiba narrows his eyes as the Hell Butterfly relays the information. Truth be told, he could sense them when they arrived but he had guessed the sudden Shinigami activity had been towards the Hollows. With a light nod, he turns to the others, "I have heard of, in the history, an event like this happening before...with the Shinigami, i mean. It was the power of a zanpakuto, and i'm guessing this is a very similar technique, which would imply there is a single being behind this." He says as he snaps his fingers, roughly 20 Stealth Force members appearing around Kiba, "I want you to scout around the Seireitei in secret, and try to find the cause of why the Shinigami are going insane." He orders his troops as the salute him, flash stepping away. After this, he turns back to the captains and lieutenant, "I am going to the world of the living to get my lieutenant. Please try not to let the Seireitei get destroyed while i am gone." He says, drawing his zanpakuto and stabbing it into the air, "Unlock." He says, turning the blade half way around as a Senkaimon appears before him, opening up he gives one quick glance at the mayhem, then steps through.

Kotei would finish acting like a idiot just at Captain Shintaro appeared. He'd look to him and raise a eyebrow. "Hello there Captain guy." Kotei would grin as he knew the mans name but decided to mess with him since he was trying to lighten the mood. He'd not known Captain Shintaro that well but knew that he was a fairly powerful captain and stood on par with the rest of Seritei. After all how else would he have gotten captain if he wasn't of a higher calibur then his subordinates.

Kotei would calm down and look over the map tracing his finger into what seemed like random patterns. He'd move from Central 46 to the squad 1 barrack's. He'd then move from squad 1 to the main senkaimon, he'd run his finger here to there until he'd scratch his chin. "I might be a bit drunk but something about this seems odd. Someone fetch me a map of Rukongai *hiccup*."

Kotei would stand there looking over the table waiting and continuing to look. He'd pick up the squad 2, squad 1, squad 3, and squad 11 tokens and stack them into one pile. He'd place them down on a rock and unsheath his zanpaktou. After unsheathing his zanpaktou he'd slice them directly down the middle. He'd then smile. "That's better." He'd pick up the pieces that he chopped and smiled." I'd say that will do good." He'd then take the #1 token pieces, the #7 token piece, the #12 token piece, and one of the #11 token pieces and place them in a blank corner of the map. He'd then take the # 10 and place it and the South gate. After finishing placing the #10 he'd place one of the halves of the #3 to the North gate. After placing all these he'd hold the final pieces in his hand and move them around. "I really need that Rukongai map."

Kotei would walk back away from the main map and walk around continuing to move the pieces in his hand. Kotei's mind would be firing on all cylinder's as he thought of more about the plan. He'd think of the incoming attack and where they would strike first and where they would come from. He'd think of battle training he'd learned from his many years of fighting.

Kotei would see the butterfly come up and relay the message. Kotei had noticed many hollow presences in the Seritei and was a bit concerned, he'd noticed that they were powerful and knew that most of the captain's and lieutenant's were preoccupied with the impending Espada attack. He'd wished that he could drop it all and just go back to napping. He knew that this idea was not going to happen until everything was back to normal.

[Director]

The cadre of men that Takayama had sent out to investigate the Central 46 return to the area to relay the news to their captain. The men casually stroll up to the cliff and give warm greetings to everyone there before relaying their message. Alls clear in the chamber, sir. Those blasted politicians aren't doing a thing about this mess! Just sitting there writing papers and discussing politics like always. The man who spoke, probably a third seat grins as he places his arm on Lieutenant Akiyama's shoulder. My my, Lieutenant Akiyama, pretty thing like you sitting here with all these sweaty men. How do you do it, eh? One of the other men turn toward Captain Takayama, and then relays the rest of the message.

Well uh, things in the Central 46 compound were clear, but a lot of odd things were happening all throughout the Seireitei. Lots of our guys were slashing each other and all that, we nearly got nicked too, but managed to get away before things got too hairy for us... We lost Edogawa though.. The men look depressed for a moment before perking up again. The men converse among one another for a small while before the third seat by Lieutenant Akiyama places his hand on her shoulder again. Everything is going to be alright, okay? You don't have to worry about anything anymore... His face suddenly contorts with a look of malice as he pulls out his blade and slashes Lieutenant Akiyama down her chest. Harlot! The rest of the squad members suddenly pull out their blades too and begin to attempt to slash at everybody present.

[Shintaro Takayama]

Shin overlooked the map on the table that informed them about their strategy. He wasnt a very good strategist, but he could see that Hitomi had done her research and did a very good job. "Nice work, It seems all entrances are covered for, squads are positioned in certain places." He lazily looked over the map and thought about something. "But we don't what the controlled shinigami are after, or better yet, we dont know who is doing this." He listened to Hitomi about Sairou and how he was nowhere to be seen. "Yes, and the thing is, the mysterious force could affect everyone, including captains." Shin knew that he would not be able to fight a fellow captain, not because of friendship, but of power. He knew that the force of two captains fighting each other could level the entire area and maybe even more. "I know what you mean, shinigami fighting one another is not a good thing to watch." He heard what she had to say about Central 46, remembered what he did earlier. "I sent over a couple of men to investigate the situation over there. Why would they tell us not to investigate Central 46 if it is the only place thats not being affected?" Shin just thought that it was a little strange.

He turned to Kiba and listened to what he had to say and something had jogged his memory. He remembered reading on the event that he had mentioned. Zanpaktou spirits had been released and rampaged throughout the Soul Society. If that was the case, who would do this, and why? He nodded as he explained himself and say nothing else

Shin noticed Captain Kotei and slightly grinned towards them. "Hello there Kotei." It kind of annoyed Shin that he seemed to be a bit drunk, as he could smell the alcohol from a considerable distance, but he would soon come to ignore it. He then looked at what he was doing at the map. He unsheathed his zanpaktou and sliced the pieces on the map in half. "Hey, What are...." Shin then realized what he was doing and thought that it was ingenious. Splitting the squads up seemed good, but was it really necessary. Shin decided not to say anything, thinking that it could work

Soon afterwards, Shin recognized his men had come, after finishing the assignment that he had given him. Shin wondered about central 46, as it wasnt like them to be this calm about an event like this. He listened to what had happened there. "Edogawa huh? He was a good man." Shin now realized that this threat was as real as could be and if something wasnt done soon, the whole Soul Society could kill each other. "Well, good job guys. Now we have a plan formed...." Suddenly one of his men had attempted to slash at Lieutenant Akiyama, while the others took out their blades. "What? Men, stand down." But it seemed that they didnt listen to him, and was forced to take out his blade to protect himself. "Damn, whatever this thing is, it got them too." Shin clashed with his men, striking them down with the unsharpened part of his blade, making sure that he didnt hurt them extensively

[Akiyamasan]

As Captain Nakamura takes his leave to go pick up his lieutenant, Hitomi nods her head and wishes him good luck. Please be careful... This whole mess looks to be a bit too hairy to take lightly. Out of the corner of her eye, she then notices Captain Suitentei examine the map, and then begin to divide the pieces into different areas.

Ah, dividing the pieces so that we have more of our strengths in separate areas! That is actually quite ingenious captain! Hitomi beams a little in joy, a better strategy is paramount to keeping everybody alive, after all. She then senses a few spiritual pressures approaching and turns to her left to see what was going on. Members of Squad 10 had arrived, looking as if they had something to say. A-Ah, hello everybody... I suppose Captain Takayama sent for you?

One of the men mentions that everything is clear at the Central 46 compound, and nothing is particularly amiss. Whew... that's wonderful. The man who spoke earlier then places his hand on her shoulder and smiles at her. Hitomi finds this uncomfortable, but in order to be polite and not be a bother, she doesn't say anything about it. One of the other men then continues speaking, explaining the things they saw around the seireitei, and how one of their friends were lost. Oh... I didn't know Edogawa on a personal level but... sorry for your loss.. The man from before then suddenly places his hand on her shoulder again, assuring her that everything was going to be alright. He suddenly appears extremely evil, causing Hitomi a measure of alarm. Wha-what are yo- Before she can finish what she was saying, the man plucks his sword from it's scabbard and slashes her across the chest. Unable to avoid it, due to a slight reluctance to attack someone who is supposed to be her friends, she gets slashed and doubles over in pain. Wh-why...? Is this my punishment for something that I did..? I can't..

While she is doubled over in pain, she notices the rest of the men had pulled out their weapons as well, and were advancing upon Kotei and Shintaro. The man who slashed her advances toward her again, and kicks her in the face while she is doubled over in pain. The force of the kick causes her to fly backward a way, until she crashes into a tree. This is no joke... I can't believe I didn't catch this.. She struggles to her feet and then draws her blade in order to combat this threat. A warm sensation coming from her chest begins to worry her. Anybody with knowledge of this kind of thing would know that this means the cut was deep, and Hitomi was beginning to bleed out. She resolves to handle this situation as quickly as possible in order to focus attention on healing herself when things are clear. Allow me to show you why I am the lieutenant of squad 3. Hitomi appears to disappear from her spot, and remains that way until she reappears behind the man who slashed her previously. With a casual upward flick of her blade, the man is sent flying in the air. Not stopping there, Hitomi disappears once more, and appears above him, where she kicks him into the floor. When he lands in the floor, he is knocked unconscious as Hitomi lands back down on the ground.

Why does hitting that man feel so strange...? It's as if I was hitting something that wasn't alive... She focuses on the scene around her, where she notices that Captain Takayama is knocking out people with the blunt of his blade. She is slightly relieved that the Squad 10 captain was adverse to allowing his squad members get hurt, even if they attack the captain themselves.

[kotei]

Kotei would have finished at the map and was standing at the edge of the cliff overlooking the chaos happening the Seritei. There were fires burning in many places across the Seritei, blood covered the tile like floors that could be seen, and worst of all is that everything was the effect of a supposed single person.

When Takayama's men arrived Kotei had all but completely zoned out from the carnage happening before him. When the men did arrive he'd snap out of his trance and turn and walk to the tree, where he'd lean and listen to what the men had to say. At this point Kotei had already began to sober up even though he wasn't much drunk to start with and was only putting on a ploy to lighten the mood for everyone.

Kotei would be leaning on the tree when he'd hear the men speak of Central 46. Kotei would be a slight bit curious as to how the supposed center and highest form of government in the Soul Society was holding up. When he'd hear the men say that they'd went in and saw the member's doing nothing of importance a switch would flip. When the switch flipped Kotei would instantly become curious as to the men story.

The men's story started out on a note where he knew they were lieing. Kotei knew that meer low seated member's would not easily be let inside of some place as Central 46 anytime let alone a time of war. He didn't want to say anything and be wrong but he knew that it was odd and that these men had better make the story more believable quick or else he'd have to find a way to test there integrity as true shinigami.

As the apparent seat 3 member would console lady Akiyama, Kotei would be a little defensive of her and step closer knowing that something was now extremely odd that a 3rd seat of another squad would be so informal with a lieutenant of another squad. He'd watch the man's movement's and pay special attention to his eye's and mouth, watching for subtle movement's such as twitches and eye jerk's. He'd not notice much odd and thought that if this person or people controlling them had this ability then they'd be a great problem.

Kotei would listen to the man console lady Akiyama and then draw his sword. When the man drew his sword all of Kotei's suspicion would come full cirlce and prove that he was right in that they were not true member's. "I knew it! These guy's are not the real thing or more along the line's they are being conrolled." Kotei would burst with joy when he knew he was correct, but this joy was short lived when he saw lady Akiyama's blood being spilled. This made Kotei furious but as usual when Kotei becomes enraged he just bottle's it and instead focuses on stay calm and loose. This had taken him many year's of training and taken a toll on his body since he bottle's most anger and releases it through extensively destructive training.

When the men would move to attack Kotei would reach for his zanpaktou but stopped instantaneously. Kotei knew that even though these men were under someone's control they were still comrade's at heart. He'd instead begin sidestepping slashes and then moving in close so as to utilize his hands. He'd reach close to one man and chop him forcefully in the neck causing him to instantly fall out cold. When another man would side slice for him Kotei would drop low and lock his hands together and elbow this man in the stomach, knocking the wind out of him and causing him to crumple over and hold his torso. When this man was down he would look around and see no one else standing, he'd instead see crumpled shinigami's all around as if there were one of the most one sided brawl's ever seen caused on the top of the hill.

Kotei would look down to the man he'd elbowed in the stomach and smile. He'd grab him by the back of the collar and lift him up before holding his finger out and smiling and saying. "Hello whoever it is controlling these people. I've got a present for your puppet." Kotei's face would become serious as he'd hold the man at a arms length and still by the collar and say. "Bakudo #61 Rikujôkôrô." He'd watch as the man would become captured by the six light bar's and then smile as Kotei let go and dropped him on the ground. "And now we've got a interragation subject." Kotei would smile and begin walking back to the edge of the cliff. "You three can do the interragating. I'm going to go think."

Kotei would walk back to the edge of the cliff and sit down on it. He'd sit indian style and watch closely. He'd focus on the Central 46 compound as he'd think of just what kind of person, people, or thing could cause so much chaos in so little time. "It's going to be quite a long time before things get back to normal. I can see it now." Kotei would lightly lay his hand on his zanpaktou and sigh before saying. "Great battle's are in the future and I'm sure not all of us will survive this unscarred."

[Director]

Handily defeated by the two captains, the men are rendered unconscious save for the man whom Captain Kotei captured. He struggles against his bindings to no avail, before finally accepting that he cannot get out. Peh. So ya got me. What're you going to do huh? You ain't got NOTHING. He glances around at the three people here, with a shifty look on his face. His gaze centers on the captain that captured him in the first place.

You think you're tough because you can shoot sparkles at me, huh big guy? You Shinigami are all the same. The whole lot of ya. Try an' get information outta me. JUST TRY. He glances over at the wounded girl by the tree and spits in her general direction. Yeah, see that? Stupid harlot went and got herself cut because she's weak! Rest of you punks better take a hint and learn from that if you don't want to end up dead as a doorknob. Hehehehe. The man phases into an uncontrollable laughter for some reason.

[Shintaro Takayama]

Shintaro had finished off the rest of the men, men that he was not allowed to call him anymore. He panted and tried to cope with the fact that his men were being controlled and that his real men were dead. He didnt know that if they were actually being controlled or that these were just imposters. If they were the latter, who ever made made them had an easy time mimicking their exact reiatsu and bodies. Either way, Shin needed to get to the bottom of this

He saw that Kotei had subdued his supposed third seat with a kido, while the lieutenant was on the ground bleeding out. He went to her side and looked at the wound. "He got you pretty good." He put his hand over the wound and green reiatsu covered his hand, mostly healing the wound. "You are lucky that i spent some time in the 4th squad." Shin chuckled. He stopped and sat her up against a rock. "It should be okay now, but it should be looked at."

He stood up and with a stern face looked at the prisoner, just as he was calling the lieutenant a harlot, at which he shunpo'ed over to him and quietly spoke. "You're annoying." He then punched him in the face, not enough to completely knock him out, out enough that he would feel it. "Say what i dont want to hear, and you get to lose a limb." He put his hand on his zanpaktou, and unsheathed it so that only a little piece of the blade was showing. "Now, Who are you working for?"

[Akiyamasan]

As the rest of the men are defeated, Hitomi stews against the tree, attempting to nurse her wound while things were clear. In that period of time, Captain Takayama comes over and for the most part heals the bleeding with some of his reiatsu. Hitomi then directs her attention toward the man that was captured by Captain Suitentei. The man seems agitated, as he is spitting out all kinds of insults, upon saying "Harlot" it seems that Captain Takayama decided to punch him. It seems not to have stopped him from continuing to speak, and then laughing, however. I wonder.... he called us... "You shinigami" does this mean that man is... not a shinigami? Hitomi stands to her feet slowly, as the pain inflicted earlier is still fresh and is limiting her a little bit. She slowly makes her way over toward the captured man and sits down in front of him.

Yes, as the Captain said, can you please.... tell us anything really? I want to limit the bloodshed as much as possible. With an unfaltering gaze, Hitomi stares this man in the eyes as she sits there in front of him. She wonders in the back of her head how Captain Suitentei is going to handle the situation, as she thinks she can see where Captain Takayama is about to go with it. You said earlier that the Central 46 chamber was secure... How did you manage to get inside in the first place? Even the captains are not allowed to authorize a visit to the chambers. It's suspicious, in fact, it's obvious. Her gaze intensifies as she looks in the man's eyes waiting for any kind of reaction from him. She was not about to allow herself to be deprived of this chance to work. Just in case, Hitomi also makes note of something else. Captain Kotei... can you please make sure none of his other fellows awaken soon?

[Director]

The man looks up toward his ex-captain after being punched in the face, and spits on him as a result. I ain't tellin you nothin' punk. He makes to spit at Captain Takayama once more, but instead ends up spitting a tooth out at him. He looks at the girl next to the captain, the one who he had cut earlier, and notices her feeble request to stop the bloodshed. Pssh, stop it? Stop the bloodshed? Never. Blood will rain down in petals tonight, nothing will stop us! The killing and the blood flowers will continue until every last one of you filthy soul reapers are dead!

His face contorts into a look of anger when Lieutenant Akiyama asks about how his unit managed to even get into the Central 46 Chambers. Giving it a little bit of thought, the man then dons a sly look while responding. Easy, we used Kido to get inside when those blasted politicians refused to open the door. What's obvious about that? What? You think we just walked on in there and walked right back out? Poppyco- The man is cut off as a large hollow steps out of a huge garganta in the sky and squishes him. This hollow, which is obviously a form of arrancar immediately uses a rudimentary sonido to close in on the captain that sits further in the back. You're my first victim! Upon reaching the man in the back, this hollow will swipe at him with his claws, hoping to hit him.

(Said hollow is a "Guardian of the Forest" variety.)

Several more hollow appear from the sky suddenly, and make passing swipes at Captain Takayama and Lieutenant Akiyama. Unintelligent as they are, they miss their quandries, but stand to face them once more regardless. There are about eight of them.

[Kiba Nakamura]

Kiba stepped out of the Senkaimon back into the air above where the mayhem was occuring. He quickly, drew his zanpakuto.

"Howl, Bikoukiba." He says as he swings his blade downwards, the middle blade flinging towards the large hollows as the other two blades bent sideways to slash at the other hollows that were beginning to appear in the area.

[Captain Stelevein]

Stelevein stepped out of the senkaimon and noticed the things around him. It was weird, he was gone for a couple of hours and this happens. He didn't look surprised however, and he walked over to Hitomi and examined her wound. "You should go get checked out by squad four." He told her before noticing the guy who was tied up and all of the others who were unconscious. He had noticed them as soon as he got there, just didn't make a notion about it.

He looked at the guy who was now tied up and saying ridiculous things before speaking to him. "My; aren't you just the aggro one. And your friends, what possessed you all to do this, such a shame. He said before gesturing to kiba to take this guy and the rest and lock them up. He did this without even saying a word to kiba. Then he turned his attention to all of the Hollow and sighed.

"Where the hell is Sairou, why isn't he accounted for. And how the hell could this happen." He said turning a bit aggro himself. He shunpo'd to where the hollows were and drew his sword. One by one he began slicing them in half. They were quite weak to begin with, but compared to him were as nothing. Then he turned his attention to the stronger ones and began attacking them taking three of them down in a couple swipes.

After he had finished that he shunpo'd back to his original spot and approached everyone standing there. "Why do you make the captain commander get involved in this stuff? It should have been handled before my return. Not to mention during my visit to the world of the living I met four arrancar, three of which were espada. And there was no blood shed what so ever. When I return, I see Vice Captain of squad three bleeding, one of our own men tied up and bound, some more of our men knocked out, and all of these DAMN!!! Hollows."

[Rin Akisame]

Rin was not all that happy with what was going on. She had been attacked by several other shinigami when she was preparing to go to the meeting. The attack on her began to happen when she first walked out of her office.It seemed after she finished knocking one out, another would come. It happened several times, making the captain even more upset. What the hell was actually going on? Why where these shinigami attacking one another?

After another blow to a head of another shinigami with the back of her elbow, Rin allowed the body to drop and she looked around. The area around the captain contained bodies here and there. A hell butterfly came to her, containing the information, and the captain just growled. "Well I can plainly see that some of them went insane...." She knew that it was required, but she did not need someone, or something, saying what was going on again when she found out.

The girl now had to find where the meeting was, which might not be as hard as she thought. There was a commotion going on there, and she simply followed the spiritual pressures. Having shunpo'ed to the area, the captain arrived behind the captain commander. Looking around she let out another growl. "I want to know what the hell is going on and how the hell to stop it." the quite girl was a bit angry with everything at the moment, and was speaking usually when she wouldn't.

[Sieghart Rayvnl]

Sieghart stepped out of the gate in time to see his captain finish off a hollow and the flash step to a group of shinigami all standing around on the near by cliff. He flashed stepped behind his captain and took a survey of the people near by. Captain Kiba, Kotei, Shintaro, Rin, as well as Vice Captain Akiyama who by the looks of it was severely injured. This took his first priority, he quickly moved to Hitomi's side and knelt down beside her. "Hitomi-chan! Are you alright? What the heck's going on around here." He then quickly looked around the group and noticed the bodies of fellow soul reapers laying on the ground and says mostly to himself, "What the hell? We leave for a little bit and everything falls apart." Sieghart then turns back to Hitomi, "I'll be right back and then i'll take you to squad four."

Sieghart stood up and drew his Zanpakutou addressing his captain, "Captain i'll take care of these pesky hollows, please continue your conversation." He then leapt off the cliff and shunpo'ed to the nearest hollow cutting it swiftly down the middle, turning to the next one who had begun to charge him, he spun through the hollow and splitting it in half with his blade turning the beast into dust. Flipping his sword around into a back handed style he shunpo'ed to another hollow this one was much stronger than the first two. Sieghart caught the hollow's punch with his left hand and cut the hollows arm off at the forearm. As the blade sliced through the flesh Sieghart let the handle rotate on his palm into the normal upward position allowing him to deliver a cut straight down cutting a deep gash into the hollow's shoulder. The hollow staggered backwards and roared only to have his head blown off by a kido.

Two more of these same hollows converged upon Sieghart's position and reared back to attack. "Ya'll make me sick, Tear Fukyuu Ookami!" Sieghart blade disappeared in a burst of wind only to be replaced by his claw like zanpakutou. "Enough of this, we have more important things to do than deal with pathetic beings like the rest of you." Sieghart met the two hollow head on. Ducking under the first ones punch he tore a claw sized hole straight out of the hollow's chest as it past him. Then following through with the swiping movement he spun around and threw the lump of flesh at the other hollow doming it in the head and causing it to be temporarily confused. "Bring it on!."
