Kotei would walk out the squad one barrack's and immediately shunpo back to his barrack's and grab his bag of sake and a cup. As he'd walk out of his barrack's a fellow squad member would walk by and he'd say quickly before shunpoing to his cliff. "Prepare for a upcoming invasion. Now then grapevine effect that." He knew that his squad member would know what he meant, which was to spread the news to everyone that he saw.
After landing foot on the cliff he'd untie his small sheet like backpack and lay it out so as to lay on. After doing this he'd undo his Zanpaktou and lay it down by the side of the sheet and the sake on the other side. Kotei would then lay down leaning his back onto the single tree that sat atop the cliff. He'd pour the cup of sake and sip it gingerly as he'd pat his Zanpaktou. "Well ol' pal look's like were going to see some action come soon." His Zanpaktou would say in a hissy and raspy voice to which only Kotei could here. "Well I guess I'll count this as a blessing seeing as I've not been able to pit my acid against anything in a fair time. Now then be so kind as to give me some sake." Suioni would cackle a laugh and Kotei would join in and then Kotei would reply. "Coming right up." Kotei would unsheath Suioni and stab him in the ground lightly as he'd then pour some of the sake over the blade and Suioni would speak. "Not the best of the best but good enough for my taste."
Kotei would take Suioni out of the ground and lay him beside the sheet as Kotei would then stretch out and down his cup's remainder's in one gulp. After doing this Kotei would let out a hearty sigh and then lean back against the tree and close his eyes. "This is the life." He'd slowly drift away into a sleep as he'd dream of sitting with Suioni in the desolate forest that he called home. (Kotei is asleep but he is still keen on any spiritual pressure signature's that might arise.)

Knowing Kotei would be out here, Hitomi had the good sense to organize the tactics meeting on the cliff that Captain Kotei usually slacks off around. The other squads should be sending out representatives to hear the plans eventually, so in order to make sure things went smoothly, she had to make sure a certain sleepy captain would be able to hear the plans. She calmly strolls over to the area, making sure not to disturb Kotei as she pulls out a map of the seireitei. She carefully sets up a small table she brought with her and unravels the map on top of that and whispers to herself about her assumed strategy.
Okay.. the Espada are bound to overwhelm those two, so I know they'll come back here... Okay, I think Kotei-sama is the most powerful captain in the seireitei at the moment so we'll have him be the vanguard...
She reaches into her pocket and pulls out a token with a squad 8 logo on it, and pins it on the map just behind Seireitei's eastern gate.
Knowing the Espada, they'll attempt to attack the most lowly defended gate... Kotei will serve as an excellent ambush position if i'm right... and if i'm not, he'll be the best to defend our most important gate... Okay, Nakamura-sama is... the fastest and most stealthy... he'll be best for raids...
She reaches into her pocket again and pulls out a squad 2 logo. This time, she places the logo by the central 46 compound, as that is the most effective place to launch hit-and-run strikes from due to it's relatively central location within soul society.
Squad 3 can defend.... the southern gate... Sairou-sensei isn't...the strongest of the captains, but he's the best we have if we need to stall someone...
She pulls the squad three token out of her pocket and then places that just behind the southern gate. She thinks a little more about the plan.
The other gates will be guarded by every other available force, with Amaya-san guarding the north... Squad 13 works well together, so I think they'll be adequate... if one of the gates gets attacked... Nakamura san will immediately rush to the scene from his location in order to ambush the enemy.... one captain from the other gates will leave his squad at the gates, and also assist.... I'll be on standby to assist whichever gate is having the most trouble...
With that, she looks over toward Kotei, who is peacefully sleeping where he is, and smiles at him. Knowing he full-well got the message despite his state of rest. She sighs, and proceeds to wait for the other squads' representatives to arrive and hear the plan themselves.

Kotei would lay there asleep the entire time of Hitomi's speech. He'd have not heard a word but at the very end he'd hear something that sounded like a squirrel or bird rustling in the tree's somewhere away. To this Kotei would be startled from his slumber and he'd look around. "Huh? Wuh?"
Kotei would look back and see a table and map and one Ms.Akiyama. He'd smile and then yawn as he'd sit up on the tree. Kotei would pick up his sake bottle and see it still had a fair amount left. He'd have not drunk much other than to give a little buzz. He'd pour a cup and say loudly. "Akiyama-chan won't you have a drink with me." He'd hold the cup up for her to take if she'd like but if she didn't he'd drink it himself and go back to staring over the Rukon.

Noticing that Kotei has awoken from his slumber and pouring drinks, she graciously accepts his offer and directs his attention toward the map while they share a drink. After taking a sip of the drink, she asks Kotei a question
What do you think about that impending Espada attack, eh? I personally think it's about time we got a little action around here... Not that i'm running around spoiling for a fight, but with how sneaky the Hollow have been lately, a good old fashioned all-out attack is a lot easier to respond to..
She looks toward Captain Kotei as she waits for his answer to her inquiries.

Kotei would hand her the cup as he'd drink his down quickly. He'd look at Akiyama-chan as she speaks. About halfway through her speech he'd fall asleep and begin snoring lightly. He'd still be asleep when she would look to him for a reply. He'd be dreaming about riding down a sake river while being surrounded by beautiful women

When she notices Kotei has fallen asleep once more, she giggles a little. Kotei is often found sleeping somewhere, upon closer examination Hitomi is pretty sure he's off in dreamland thinking about booze and babes. Well, you should probably get your sleep, I guess it's never good to be too stressed out before a battle. She raises the cup to her lips once more, but before she is able to take a sip, a raven steals the cup. She stares at the raven flying away with the cup for a little while before standing up.
It's almost a pity that such a nice day is going to end up with bloodshed. She lays down on her back spread eagle while staring at the sun, pondering her own mortality out-loud. Shinigami... Gods of Death. And yet, we are as mortal as anything else... With a battle so large approaching... will these be my final hours on this plane of existence?

Kiba stepped out of his Squad's barracks, having informed his men of the plans, he began to sense for spiritual pressures. Sensing Hitomi and Kotei, he Shunpo's to that area, the map on the table being the first thing he notices. Figuring this was the best place to be for the time being, he shunpo's directly between Hitomi and Kotei. Looking down at Kotei snoozing, he rolls his eyes, turning his attention to Hitomi.
"I'm assuming that map has the plans for our defence?" He asks, pointing his finger at the map as he walks over to the table Hitomi is currently at.

Sensing another presence in the area, Hitomi springs to her feet to see Captain Nakamura pointing at the map containing the battle strategy. Wh-why yes! You're absolutely right! The plan is quite simple. Hitomi clears her throat and begins to point at the pieces on the map. Since in all around terms, Kotei is the most powerful Captain in the Soul Society at the moment, I placed his squad over at the eastern gate as a precaution. Basically, with him over there by himself it appears that our gate isn't very well defended. Anybody with a brain would immediately attack that gate, right? Well here's the catch, I've got your squad on striker detail. If Kotei's gate does get attacked, your squad is in a position to ambush the attackers immediately. Hitomi's finger goes over toward the Squad 2 token by the Central 46 compound, signifying that is where Nakamura's squad is to lay in wait.
Now that's a bit too easy, so if the espada actually send their forces in another direction, Kotei and your squad are available to ambush them. In that case, we have Squad 3 over by the southern gate, Squad 13 over by the northern gate, and all other available forces are by the western gate. Her finger points at those gates in respective order, all marked by tokens denoting which squad is where. Any questions? She looks at Kiba incase he has anything to ask about the plan.

She stands with her fellow squad members near the northern gate and sneakly placed one of her headphone buds in her left ear to listen to her mp3. She looks around the area where she was assigned, awaiting anything suspicious appearing in the seireiti. Since she was waiting for an update as well to what the plan was following to, she leaned on the gate, looking forward.

Kotei would wake as a fly would land on his face and he'd go to hit it ,but instead would just end up slapping himself. After awaking he'd look around and see no one. Kotei would think quietly to himself where they could have went. As he was still a bit drunk he gave up very quickly and then began to drift back to sleep, that was until he heard voices from the table behind. He'd hear Kiba Nakamura and Hitomi talking about the plan. Kotei would get up and sneak around to behind them and watch closely. When Hitomi would say something about him being the stongest in the Soul Society he'd immediately become happy.
Not a moment after Hitomi finished speaking her speech Kotei would put his arm's around Hitomi and Kiba's necks and say loudly in a drunken voice. "Here that Kiba. I'm the strongest in the Soul Society." He'd grin wildly and take a few steps back. Once a few feet away he'd begin making exaggerated martial art's poses the entire time going. "Woooooooo. Heeeeeyahhhh.." Kotei would continue moving around for a few minute's until stopping and looking at the two for a reaction. He didn't care what they thought only that he himself got a good laugh out of it, which he did.

Kiba had sensed Kotei sneaking up on him long before he put his arms on his shoulders, but rolled his eyes and let him do it anyways. At his boasting he turned around to look at Kotei, only to see him attempting to do what looked like a drunken failed attempt at Karate. Sighing, he looked back at Hitomi, a blank expression on his face.
"Are you sure about that..?" He asks before turning his attention back to the map layed down on the table before him, thinking up strategies and playing near every possible scenario in his head in the process.

Hitomi suddenly feels someone's arm around her neck, but when she smells the booze, she realizes that it's Captain Suitentei. He boasts about Hitomi's previous comment, and then begins to make well, drunken karate poses while pruning about with gestures. Hitomi couldn't help but find it hilarious, and giggles rather loudly. I wish we could have days like this forever. She turns her attention back to the map as Captain Nakamura seems to be focusing intently on the positioning of units. Yes, I am quite certain this strategy will suffice. If the Seireitei comes under attack, this strategy takes care of every possible angle of attack, and is also flexible enough to be altered on the fly while still sticking to the original plan. Of course, I will be directing units as best I can... I know i'm not the best tactical mind in Seireitei, but this plan seems to be the best course of action to minimize damage. Hitomi rubs her neck a little and then looks over the cliff, mostly just staring at the view.

A hell butterfly appears before the three on the cliff, and relays the message that it held.
All available hands please survey the situation occurring within Seireitei. An unknown cause has suddenly rendered many shinigami insane, and they are currently causing havoc within the area. Extreme caution is advised, as it is currently impossible to differentiate the insane from the sane. We have also received word that the Central 46 Compound has been entirely unaffected by this incident, and as such does not require investigation.
After relaying this message, the butterfly leaves as quickly as it had arrived. Intending to go find more captains in order to relay the message accurately.

(OCC: I dont know if im allowed in here or not, but if not, you can go ahead and ignore this post. ^_^)
Shintaro noticed that the Soul Society was not itself, as it almost spoke to him, saying that it needs help. Shin wasn't the one to ignore such a cry for help, but noticed that there was nothing wrong. He knew that the Espada were planning their attack, and knew that he should probably enforce his squad to take action, but he wasnt a man of strategy, only one of action. Sitting in the office of his barracks, he looked outside and wondered what was going on. "Something in my gut, tells me that something is about to go down." He said with a slight frown, watching as time went on
He then noticed that a hell butterfly had fluttered into his office, surveying a message that surprise him. After it had left, he ran outside his office and saw that havoc was indeed raining on the Soul Society. He noticed that a few captains were gathering in the barracks on far from hear, since they too probably had gotten the same message. He grabbed an officer from his squad and gave him a stern face. "You. Grab a squad of shinigami and go investigate Central 46, figure out why this isnt happening." He nodded and shunpo'ed out of Shin's way. He knew what the message said, since it said not to investigate, but he wanted to know why it was happening everywhere else but not there. He then set his sights on the party and shunpo'ed his way over there
He appeared in a tent, where two other captains and a lieutenant where looking at a table for some reason. Shin didnt really know them on a personal level, but the time for awkwardness was not now. "So, What did I miss?"

(OOC: Don'cha worry about it! Your post was just swell!)
Hitomi listens to the Hell Butterfly give it's message and wonders how something like this could have happened with the Soul Society on high alert for so long. She ponders as Captain Takayama appears and asks what was going on. Ah! Captain Takayama! It is a pleasure to see you! We were just discussing the initial strategy for the coming assault on Soul Society. I have taken the liberty of acquiring information about all the squad captains, and utilizing all our talents to formulate a plan for to defend ourselves. She runs her hand over the map, showing him the positioning of units that she has in play.
After doing so, Hitomi looks up with a serious look on her face, and gets to her feet. But it isn't that important right now. You got the message from the butterfly, I assume? I don't know where Captain Sairou is right now... so I don't have any orders about this situation... Hitomi looks a little sad as she sighs and then looks to the three captains around her for orders. Just hearing about our own friends attacking one another leaves a horrible stench in my mouth... thank heavens the Central 46 wasn't harmed because of this... Hitomi suddenly wonders if her captain is alright in all this commotion. She has faith in him and his abilities, but she cannot shake her worries about him regardless. Captain Sairou...
